Hotelhinweis

In Mexico, sinks or even bathtubs/whirlpools may be integrated openly into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation. **************************************
Guests of the Bahia Principe Explore Coba can also use the a la carte restaurants of the Bahia Principe Grand Tulum (CUN161) and thus have access to a total of 10 restaurants. There is also a shuttle bus between the hotels, the conference rooms, and the golf course.

Zusatzhinweis

Effective immediately, hotels in Mexico will gradually introduce an "Eco-Tax".
As a result, every guest occupying a hotel room in Mexico is required to pay a state-levied fee in cash at the hotel upon arrival, similar to a local tourist tax.
**************************************
A tourism tax was implemented on April 1, 2021, and is currently a one-time payment of 224 Mexican pesos or approx. 11 US dollars per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.
The tax can be paid electronically before departure via the following link: http://www.visitax.gob.mx/sitio/
Alternatively, the tax can also be paid in cash upon arrival at the airport. It is recommended to have the exact amount in Mexican pesos or US dollars.

Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seagrass and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased appearance of brown algae in the Caribbean is often recorded during this time. This may affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making every effort to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which may cause a slight noise level.
