Note

In Mexico, sinks or bathtubs/whirlpools may be openly integrated into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation. **************************************
Guests of the Bahia Principe Grand Coba can also use the à la carte restaurants of the Bahia Principe Grand Tulum (CUN161), thus having access to a total of 10 restaurants. There is also a shuttle bus between the hotels, the conference rooms, and the golf course.

Note

Effective immediately, hotels in Mexico will gradually introduce an "Eco-Tax".
This means that every guest using a hotel room in Mexico is obliged to pay a local tax to the state, similar to a tourist tax, payable in cash at the hotel.
**************************************
As of April 1, 2021, a tourism tax was introduced and currently amounts to a one-time fee of 224 Mexican Pesos, or approx. 11 US Dollars per person, regardless of the duration of stay in the country.
The tax can be paid electronically before departure via the following link: http://www.visitax.gob.mx/sitio/
Alternatively, the tax can be paid in cash upon arrival at the airport. It is advisable to carry the exact amount in Mexican Pesos or US Dollars.

No Smoking Policy

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transportation, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, an increased presence of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased occurrence of brown algae in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. Hotel management and local authorities are naturally making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which can generate some noise.
