Set amidst tropical vegetation and on a kilometer-long sandy beach, the resort is approximately a 25-minute drive from Playa del Carmen and about a 20-minute drive from Tulum. The beautiful sandy beach is protected by a coral reef offshore. The Riviera Maya Golf Club is located within the resort. It is particularly suitable for families.

The beautiful, large hotel complex features 720 rooms, 1 buffet restaurant, 4 specialty restaurants (Gourmet, Mexican, Japanese, and Italian), 1 snack bar, 5 bars, 1 pool with integrated whirlpools, sun loungers and parasols, a spa and fitness center, piano bar, towel service at the pool and beach, an amphitheater for various programs and shows, 5 tennis courts, a water sports and diving center on the beach, and a currency exchange office. The Bahia Principe complex has an entertainment center with a disco (free entry), bar and sports bar, shops, varied shows, and a large water park for children.

Junior Suite Superior

The Junior Suites, decorated in a Caribbean-Mexican style, feature a bathroom with whirlpool/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, minibar, coffee machine, safe, Wi-Fi, 2 full-size beds or 1 king-size bed, and a balcony or terrace (JU2/JU1/KJR/KJU/KJV).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). If the occupancy is 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room; this means 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Guests of the Bahia Principe Grand Coba can also use the à la carte restaurants of the Bahia Principe Grand Tulum (CUN161), thus having access to a total of 10 restaurants. Additionally, there is a shuttle bus between the hotels, the conference rooms, and the golf course.
From now on, hotels in Mexico will gradually be introducing an "Eco-Tax".
This requires every user of a hotel room in Mexico to pay a fee to the state locally at the hotel, similar to a tourist tax.

No Smoking Policy

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished by fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal Note

For stays between April and December, increased presence of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased occurrence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are of course endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may cause a slight noise level.
