Location

The resort is located on the east coast of the Dominican Republic, directly on the fine, white sandy beach of Bavaro. The town center of Downtown Bavaro with shopping opportunities, restaurants, and bars can be reached in approx. 10 minutes by car. The transfer time is approx. 35 minutes by car.

The Royalton Bavaro features 730 modern rooms spread over 4 floors. Comfortably furnished, the hotel includes a lobby with a 24-hour reception, elevators, a gift shop, a shopping arcade, a boutique, a casino, and a hairdresser. A variety of gourmet restaurants serving Asian, international, local, Mediterranean, Mexican, regional, Spanish, seafood, grilled dishes, and sushi, as well as gluten-free options and children's menus, will spoil you at the highest level. The various bars provide a selection of drinks.
In the outdoor area, the hotel complex features 6 pools with a spacious sun terrace, sun loungers, and umbrellas (included). Furthermore, the hotel offers a 9-hole mini-golf course, a surf simulator, the so-called FlowRider, and a lazy river over 365m long that takes you past waterfalls and water slides to a swim-up bar hidden in a cave.

Rooms with direct pool access pose an increased risk potential for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

With the same amenities, the suite is larger and features a living/sleeping area as well as a separate bedroom.

With the same amenities, this suite features a living/sleeping room with a dining table and kitchen with a bar, as well as a separate bedroom. The Diamond Club is already included with this room.

Seasonal information

For stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean is frequently recorded during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making every effort to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which causes a slight background noise.
