Location

The resort is located on the east coast of the Dominican Republic, directly on the fine white sandy beach of Bavaro. The Downtown Bavaro town center with shopping facilities, restaurants, and bars can be reached in approx. 10 minutes by car. The transfer time is approx. 35 minutes by car.

The Royalton Bavaro has 730 modern rooms spread over 4 floors. Comfortably furnished, the hotel features a lobby with a 24-hour reception, elevators, a souvenir shop, a row of shops, a boutique, a casino, and a hairdresser. A variety of gourmet restaurants offering Asian, international, local, Mediterranean, Mexican, regional, Spanish, fish/seafood, grilled dishes, and sushi, as well as gluten-free dishes and children's menus, will spoil you at the highest level. The various bars provide a selection of drinks.
In the outdoor area, the hotel complex features 6 pools with a spacious sun terrace, sun loungers, and umbrellas (included). Furthermore, the hotel offers a 9-hole mini-golf course, a surf simulator, the so-called FlowRider, and a lazy river over 365m long, which leads you past waterfalls and water slides to a swim-up bar hidden in a cave.

Rooms with direct pool access represent an increased potential hazard for small children. Therefore, Schauinsland-Reisen applies a minimum age of 6 years for children for bookings of these room types for safety reasons.

With the same amenities, this suite features a living/bedroom area with a dining table and kitchen with a bar, as well as a separate bedroom. The Diamond Club is already included with this room.

Seasonal information

During a stay between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seagrass and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased occurrence of brown algae in the Caribbean is frequently observed during this time. The beach and the sea may be affected. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, striving to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal authorities. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which causes a slight noise level.
