The Minos Mare Royal Hotel is located directly on a sandy beach awarded with the "Blue Flag" in the Platanias holiday area and is an ideal place for peace and relaxation. The center of Rethymnon is about 5 km from the hotel. A selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and taverns are located in the immediate vicinity. The very well-maintained 5-star complex with 61 rooms, popular with regular guests, is a schauinsland-reisen original and features a 24-hour reception, elevator, Wi-Fi (included), a main restaurant, an à la carte restaurant, a lobby bar, mini-market, souvenir shop, and a small library. In the outdoor area, there is a beautiful garden with many shady palm trees, a swimming pool with hydromassage function, and a pool bar. Guests receive bath towels free of charge. They have a bathroom with a bathtub/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, cosmetic mirror. Furthermore, the rooms are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, telephone, flatscreen satellite TV, radio/CD player, Wi-Fi (included), minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea station, pillow menu, and a balcony with garden view. Guests receive a welcome package (sparkling wine and fruits) upon arrival and daily replenished mineral water. Once per stay, lunch is included as a set menu (DBP/IDD).

A rich breakfast buffet (7-10:30 am) in the main restaurant overlooking the green gardens and the pool provides the perfect start to the day.
A selection of egg dishes and omelets can be ordered à la carte.
For dinner (7-9:30 pm), you can choose from one of four main courses (meat, fish, vegetarian, grilled). There is also a buffet with starters and desserts.
Appropriate attire (long trousers, appropriate shoes) is requested for dinner.

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience levy, which is to be paid by the guest on site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from 01.01.2025, is tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 € per day and room.
