Location

The family-run hotel is located amidst an authentic Cretan setting in Malia, surrounded by lush gardens and just a few steps from shops. The beautiful sandy beach is about 150 metres away. Heraklion Airport is approximately 32 km from the hotel.

The comfortable schauinsland-reisen original hotel complex for guests aged 12 and over offers 48 rooms and features a reception (24h) with a lobby, a lounge area with a fireplace, a mini library, Wi-Fi (included throughout the complex), a restaurant with outdoor seating and an open-plan kitchen with show cooking, as well as a bar (11 am-11 pm). In addition to drinks at the bar, the hotel offers a drinking fountain with fresh spring water. The newly designed outdoor area features a freshwater swimming pool, the sun terrace with Balinese beds for relaxation, and a small orchard with figs and pomegranates. Pool/beach towels are available free of charge. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool; sun loungers and umbrellas are offered by third-party providers on the sandy beaches of Malia (for a fee).

Further amenities include individually adjustable air conditioning and a ceiling fan, telephone, 32'' flatscreen TV, safe, Wi-Fi (included), coffee/tea maker (daily refill), Nespresso machine (2 capsules per day included), mini-fridge, and a balcony or terrace (DSU).

Note on Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government is levying a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest on site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from 01.01.2025, will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room.
