Location

The popular Hotel Knossos Beach Bungalow and Suites is located directly on the fine sandy beach. The town of Kokkini Hani with its shopping and entertainment facilities is approximately 400m away. A public bus connection is located in the immediate vicinity.

Facilities

The hotel complex, built in Cretan style, has a total of 162 rooms, spread across a main building and several bungalow buildings, as well as an annex building across the street. The hotel offers a reception hall with a reception desk and seating area, internet corner (for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), main restaurant, 2 à la carte restaurants, and a lobby bar. The new spa area is available to guests with a wide range of massages and treatments (for a fee). In the outdoor area, there are three swimming pools and a pool/snackbar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and on the beach. A beach bar is also available.

Double Room

Equipped with a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, cosmetic mirror, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning/heating (included), Wi-Fi (included), telephone, safe, satellite TV, mini-fridge, coffee/tea maker, Nespresso machine (refilled daily) and a balcony or terrace. Located in the main building (D). Alternatively, bookable as type A in the adjacent "Knossos Boutique" building opposite the main building (approx. 50m away) (DA).

Waterfront Bungalow

Equipped with a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, cosmetic mirror, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning/heating (included), Wi-Fi, telephone, safe, satellite TV, mini-fridge, coffee/tea maker, Nespresso machine (refilled daily) and a terrace. Located directly by the sea (BW2).

Comfort Double Room

The Comfort Double Rooms have the same amenities as the Double Rooms but are located in the annex building across the street. They consist of a living/sleeping area with a single bed and a sofa bed, and a separate bedroom with a double bed (2CD).

Suite

The spacious suites, with the same amenities as the bungalows, feature higher-quality furnishings with large wardrobes, a full-length mirror, an electronic safe, and balcony doors with double-glazed safety glass and "Beach Cabana". They consist of a spacious, combined living/sleeping area (S2). Can also be booked with a side sea view (2SS) or direct sea view (S2M).

Waterfront Suite

Have the same amenities as the suites but are located directly by the sea (2SW, without "Beach Cabana").

Island Waterfront Suite

In addition to the same amenities as the suites, these suites feature sun loungers and umbrellas on the balcony and are located directly by the sea (2WS).

For stays of 5 nights or more, guests have the option to dine once per stay at the à la carte restaurant "Swell" or "Si La" (menu selection, reservation required).

Breakfast (7:30 AM - 10 AM), with an additional American breakfast buffet/continental breakfast (10 AM - 10:30 AM). Lunch (12:30 PM - 2:30 PM) and dinner (7 PM - 9:30 PM) served buffet-style. Drinks and snacks at the pool/snackbar are included from 10 AM to 6 PM. Tea and coffee with biscuits or sweets are available from 4 PM to 5 PM. Locally produced wines, beer, ouzo, gin, vodka, rum, brandy, other local and international alcoholic beverages, coffee/tea, and soft drinks are included from 10 AM to 11 PM.

Information on climate resilience contribution

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government charges a climate resilience contribution, payable by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room as of 01.01.2025.
For stays during the high season from 1 April to 31 October:
Category 1-2 stars: 2 Euros
Category 3 stars: 5 Euros
Category 4 stars: 10 Euros
Category 5 stars: 15 Euros
For stays during the low season from 1 November to 31 March:
Category 1-2 stars: 0.50 Euros
