This small bungalow complex is situated directly on the long sandy/pebble beach of Kavros and approximately 4 km from Georgioupolis. Shopping and entertainment options are located in the immediate vicinity. Rethymnon, with its beautiful old town, is approx. 20 km away. Chania Airport is approx. 50 km away, and Heraklion Airport is approx. 100 km away.

The Schauinsland-Reisen Original hotel consists of a main building and several annexes, featuring 125 rooms, a 24-hour reception, a lounge with a TV corner, and a main restaurant. Wi-Fi is included throughout the complex.
The garden area features a pool/snack bar and 2 pools, one of which has an integrated children's pool. Sun loungers and parasols are included on the sun terrace and available for a fee on the beach (included for AI guests; beach towels provided for a deposit).

Superior Double Room

The modern rooms feature a walk-in shower/WC, telephone, satellite TV, safe, air conditioning, refrigerator, and a balcony or terrace. The rooms are located in both the main building and the annexes (DSU, bookable for 2 persons).
Optionally bookable with half board as type C (DC), as a super saver room located in the main building (land-side view, 2US, bookable for 2 persons), or at an extra charge as additional allotment type B (DSB/DAS, located in the annex or main building, bookable for 2 persons).
Also available at an extra charge with side sea view (D2S, bookable for 2 persons) or direct sea view (DMU, bookable for 2 persons). Alternatively, the Superior double room can be booked for triple occupancy as Superior double room type O (DOZ).

Single Room

These are Superior double rooms for single occupancy (DSE/UB1/DAE/1GS).

Deluxe Double Room

Same as Superior double room, but newly furnished, higher-quality equipment, and located on the ground floor. They also feature tile and marble floors, flat-screen TV (incl. German channels), safe, coffee/tea station (replenished daily), kettle, one bottle of water and wine upon arrival, and a terrace furnished with a parasol and 2 sun loungers (DD2, bookable for 2 persons).
Reserved Bali beds on the beach only for guests of these rooms, subject to availability.
Alternatively, can be booked for single occupancy (DD1).

Superior Family Room

Feature the same equipment as the Superior double rooms, but with a separate bedroom and located in the main building or annexes (F2U).

Maisonette

Located in the main building with a land-side view of the Lefka Ori mountains, these rooms feature a double bed in the lower area, and the upper area with 2 additional single beds is accessible via a wooden staircase. The large bathroom with hydromassage shower includes a hairdryer, magnifying mirror, and toiletries. In addition, the rooms are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning, satellite TV with music channel, telephone, safe, and balcony (M2).

Destination information: Climate resilience fee

For stays from 01/01/2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room as of 01/01/2025.
