Location

This small bungalow complex is located directly on the long sandy/pebble beach of Kavros, approximately 4 km from Georgioupolis. Shops and entertainment venues are located nearby. Rethymnon with its beautiful old town is about 20 km away. Chania Airport is approx. 50 km away, and Heraklion Airport is approx. 100 km away.

The Schauinsland-Reisen original hotel consists of a main building and several outbuildings, features 125 rooms, a 24-hour reception, a lounge with a TV corner, and a main restaurant. Wi-Fi is available throughout the complex free of charge.
The garden area has a pool/snackbar and 2 pools, one of which has an integrated children's pool. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included on the sun terrace and available at the beach for a fee (included for AI guests, beach towels against deposit).

Double Room Superior

The modernly furnished rooms feature a walk-in shower/WC, telephone, Wi-Fi (included), satellite TV, safe, air conditioning, refrigerator, and balcony or terrace. The rooms are located in both the main building and the outbuildings (DSU, bookable for 2 people).
Also available with half board as type C (DC), as a super-saver room located in the main building (land view, 2US, bookable for 2 people), or for an additional charge as an additional quota type B (DSB, located in an outbuilding or the main building, bookable for 2 people).
Also available for an additional charge with a side sea view (D2S, bookable for 2 people) or direct sea view (DMU, bookable for 2 people). The double room superior can also be booked for triple occupancy as a double room superior type O (DOZ).

Single Room

These are double rooms superior for single use (DSE/UB1/DAE).

Deluxe Double Room

Like Double Room Superior, but newly furnished, higher quality amenities, and located on the ground floor. They also feature tile and marble flooring, flat-screen TV (incl. German channels), safe, coffee/tea station (refilled daily), kettle, a bottle of water and wine upon arrival, and a furnished terrace with a parasol and 2 sun loungers (DD2, bookable for 2 people).
Reserved Bali beds on the beach only for guests of these rooms, subject to availability.
Also available for single use (DD1).

Superior Family Room

These rooms have the same amenities as the Double Rooms Superior, but with a separate bedroom and are located in the main building or in the outbuildings (F2U).

Maisonette

Located in the main building with a view towards the Lefka Ori mountains on the land side, these rooms have a double bed in the lower area, and the upper area with 2 additional single beds is accessible via a wooden staircase. The large bathroom with a hydromassage shower has a hairdryer, magnifying mirror, and toiletries, as well as individually regulated air conditioning, satellite TV with music channel, telephone, safe, and balcony (M2).

Information on climate resilience levy

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest on site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room from 01.01.2025.
