Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Embarkation is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next possible embarkation will always be taken.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship always takes place for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

MS Nile Excellence incl. Excursion

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan. The excursion packages listed below can, of course, still be booked.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, can be booked locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Sailing to Edfu in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, a felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
The ship then continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks served by the three bars on board. There is also a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on the loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same amenities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) and may not have a French balcony or seating area, but rather a non-opening window.

The generously designed family resort of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain will make the hearts of water lovers, young and old, beat faster. You will spend a relaxing holiday in a quiet environment at the Albatros Sea World. A direct access leads to the hotel's own 500-meter-long sandy beach. The beautiful house reef offers the best conditions for exploring the fascinating underwater world. Marsa Alam Airport is about 60 km away.

Facilities

The extensive hotel has a total of 950 rooms spread across many small buildings. The generously landscaped garden area features a total of 25 pools (two of which are heated in winter), a heated children's pool, and its own aqua park for all ages. Facilities include an inviting lobby with a reception and comfortable seating areas, as well as a shopping arcade with numerous shops for browsing. The hotel's six restaurants offer a variety of culinary specialties, including the oriental main restaurant "Saffron" and four à la carte specialty restaurants that can be used without reservation ("Soprano" – Italian, "Zum Kaiser" – German, and "L’Asiatique" – Asian, "Culina" – Mediterranean restaurant). There is also an international à la carte restaurant in the food court (included once per stay, reservation required). The offer is complemented by various cafes and bars. Two snack bars on the beach invite you for a quick bite. The aqua park has 12 slides for adults, two pools with 12 slides and water games for children, as well as various pools and diverse sports and animation programs. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and towels are available free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

Junior Suite Pool View

The Junior Suites (J2P) are approx. 60 sqm and have the same amenities as the double rooms, but with an additional open living area and pool view.
Also available with side sea view (J2S) and sea view (J2M).

Super Economy Room

The super economy rooms (SSZ) have the same amenities as the double rooms, but with garden view and not always a preferred location, as well as a limited contingent and special price.

Family Room Pool View

The family rooms (FP2) have the same amenities as the double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 70 sqm). Beds for children are available, visually separated by a sliding door.

Deluxe Double Room Pool View

Deluxe Suite Pool View

The spacious Deluxe Suites are newly built and modern. With the same amenities as the double rooms, these rooms are larger (approx. 65 sqm) and additionally feature a separate area for parents and one for children. The suites have a balcony or terrace with pool view.

Superior Double Room (RMFA30)

The Superior Double Rooms have a bath or shower/WC, air conditioning, TV, safe, hairdryer, telephone, and garden view (DSU).

Deluxe Double Room Garden View (RMFA30)
