No Smoking Policy

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transportation, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

When staying between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often a noticeable increase in brown algae in the Caribbean during this period, affecting the beach and sea. The hotel management and local authorities are of course making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may generate some noise.
