Location

The Fives Beach Hotel & Residence is located directly on the gently sloping sandy beach on the Riviera Maya. Playa del Carmen is approx. 10 minutes away. Cancun Airport is approx. 40 minutes away by car.

Facilities

The luxury resort with 662 suites offers its guests a lobby with reception, a buffet restaurant with international cuisine, 14 restaurants and gourmet corners, a burger/taco corner on the beach, an ice cream parlor, and 8 bars (2 of which are pool bars). In the garden area, there are 6 swimming pools (two of which are infinity pools and an adult-only pool) and a children's pool. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are included by the pool and on the beach. The hotel also has a souvenir shop and a hairdresser (both for a fee).

Deluxe Double Room

The rooms offer a king-size bed or two double beds, air conditioning, cable TV, safe, minibar (daily refill), coffee machine, hairdryer, telephone, iron, ironing board, bathrobe, and balcony or terrace (DD2/DD1).

One Bedroom

The One Bedroom rooms have a king-size bed, a separate living room with a sofa bed, kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, oven, stove), dining table, minibar, shower/toilet, air conditioning, and balcony/terrace (OB2). Also bookable as One Bedroom Swim Up (OSU).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms have two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). With occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Season Information

For stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are naturally endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may cause a slight noise disturbance.
