Location

The Fives Beach Hotel & Residence is located directly on the gently sloping sandy beach of the Riviera Maya. The center of Playa del Carmen is approx. a 10-minute drive away. Cancun Airport is approx. a 40-minute drive away.

This luxury resort with 662 suites offers its guests a lobby with a reception, a buffet restaurant with international cuisine, 14 restaurants and gourmet corners, a burger/taco corner on the beach, an ice cream parlor, and 6 bars (2 of which are pool bars). The garden area features 8 swimming pools (two of which are infinity pools and one is an adults-only pool) and a children's pool. Sun loungers, parasols, and beach towels are included at the pool and beach. The hotel also has a souvenir shop and a hairdresser (both for a fee).
The focus is on the All Senses Inclusive philosophy, which holistically combines your stay, culinary experiences, relaxation, and shared moments.

The rooms offer a king-size bed or two double beds, air conditioning, cable TV, safe, minibar (replenished daily), coffee machine, hairdryer, telephone, iron, ironing board, and a balcony or terrace (DD2/DD1).

One Bedroom

The One Bedroom suites feature a king-size bed, a separate living room with a sofa bed, kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, oven, stove), dining table, minibar, shower/WC, air conditioning, and a balcony/terrace (OB2). Also bookable as a One Bedroom Swim Up (OSU).
Rooms with direct pool access present an increased safety hazard for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room; this means occupancy is 2 persons per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations may be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

Between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seagrass and seaweed due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean is frequently recorded during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making every effort to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with local municipal governments. However, this requires the use of specialized machinery, which may cause a slight noise level.
