Location

The hotel, opened in December 2016, is located directly on the beach in Playa del Carmen. The transfer time from/to Cancun Airport is approx. 40 minutes.

Facilities

The generously designed complex consists of 4 hotel areas with a total of 974 Junior Suites and Suites. The hotel also features an extensive freshwater pool landscape with five outdoor pools and a children's pool. Sun loungers and beach towels are included by the pool and on the beach. 1 buffet restaurant, 8 à la carte restaurants, 12 bars, a sports bar, as well as Mike's Coffee Bar and an ice cream parlor cater to the culinary needs of the guests.

Accommodation

Junior Suite

Equipped with a king-size bed or two double beds, an additional sofa bed, a bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower, flat-screen TV with international channels, air conditioning, safe, minibar (daily refill included), steam iron and ironing board, Wi-Fi, terrace or balcony. The rooms offer pool or garden views (JS2/JS1).

Junior Suite "Daisy"

The rooms are equipped like the Junior Suite and are located in the "Daisy" hotel area, ideal for families with children (2JY/1JY).

Junior Suite "El Beso"

The rooms are equipped like the Junior Suite but are located in the adults-only area of the resort (2BJ/1BJ).

Privilege Junior Suite

With the same amenities, the room also features a Nespresso machine and a whirlpool on the terrace, as well as the following Privilege services: daily turn-down service, access to the Privilege lounge with a chill-out zone, access to the spa area and discounts on treatments, separate check-in and check-out, access to the Privilege sun terrace with Bali beds (J2R).
Additional to the Privilege Service: Exclusive evening excursion from 6 PM to 1 AM including food, drinks, and entertainment at another Ocean Hotel. Transfer must be arranged by the guests themselves. (The Privilege Concierge must be informed by the guests 24 hours prior to the excursion).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms (depending on availability) are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For a booking of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning the occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Effective immediately, hotels in Mexico will be gradually introducing an "Eco-Tax".
Every hotel room user in Mexico is therefore obliged to pay a state tax locally at the hotel in cash.
A tourism tax came into effect on April 1, 2021, and currently amounts to a one-time payment of 224 Mexican Pesos or approximately 11 US Dollars per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.

Alternatively, the tax can be paid in cash upon arrival at the airport. It is advisable to have the exact amount in Mexican Pesos or US Dollars with you.

No smoking policy

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, brown algae are often observed in larger quantities in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may generate some noise.
