The family-friendly hotel is located in the middle of the extensive Bahia Principe Bavaro Resort on the fine white sandy beach. Punta Cana airport is approx. 25 km away and the provincial capital Higüey, which is an important pilgrimage site in the Caribbean, is 60 km away.

The well-maintained resort features 756 rooms, a lobby with reception and a bar. The hotel offers an air-conditioned main restaurant, a beach and pool restaurant, 2 specialty restaurants (Japanese and Steakhouse) as well as several bars. The resort also offers two large lagoon-style pools with integrated children's pools, a spa area, and a gym. Complimentary towels are available at the pools. The 756 Junior Suites Superior, spread across villas, feature air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a full bathroom with an oval whirlpool bathtub, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, minibar, safe, and balcony or terrace (2JS/1JS). Bookable with a king-size bed (2JS/1JS) or two double beds (JS2/JS1) starting from Nov 1, 2026.

Junior Suite Premium

Equipped with the same amenities, but featuring a shower and more modern furnishings.

2 Bedroom Family Suite (starting Nov 1, 2026)

The 2-Bedroom Family Suites offer two separate rooms with two single beds, a double bed, and an additional sofa bed, with otherwise identical amenities. Both rooms have their own bathroom – one with a shower, one with a bathtub – as well as a TV each. The view of the garden or pool ensures a relaxing atmosphere (TFJ).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40m x 2m). For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds are provided in the room; meaning occupancy is: 2 persons per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Wearing a wristband is necessary to take advantage of the All-Inclusive services. Access to all restaurants is only permitted in appropriate attire (no shorts, beach shoes, swimwear). Smoking is only permitted in the beach snack bars; there is a general smoking ban in the restaurants.

Seasonal information

During a stay between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seagrass and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased occurrence of brown algae in the Caribbean. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, striving to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the local municipalities. This, however, requires the use of appropriate machinery, which may result in a slight noise level.
