Location

The 5-star hotel Iberostar Punta Cana is located on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic, directly on the shores of the paradise-like Playa Bávaro beach. In close proximity, there is a vast stretch of tropical beach surrounded by a coral reef. Punta Cana Airport is approximately 25 km from the hotel.

The luxury hotel has a total of 427 rooms, divided into standard rooms, family rooms, and suites. Within the complex, there is a beautiful outdoor pool area with 3 pools, as well as a garden and a terrace offering a fantastic view. Stroll through the hotel's own shops, the casino, and visit the disco in the evening. For culinary delights, there are 6 restaurants, 2 buffet restaurants, and 8 bars/lounges (including a pool bar). Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are available free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

Double Room

The double rooms feature a bathroom including a shower and bathtub, cosmetic amenities, TV, tea/coffee maker, minibar, safe, air conditioning, king-size bed, double bed, and a balcony/terrace (D/DE/KD). From November 1, 2023, bookable as a Premium Room (PR1/PR2/RK3/RK4). Also available as a Double Room Panoramic View (DP2) (located on upper floors). From November 1, 2023, bookable as a Premium Upper Floor (PUF).

Double Room Garden View

These rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms, but with a fantastic garden view from the balcony/terrace. From November 1, 2023, bookable as a Premium Tropical View (PTZ).

Double Room Sea View

The double rooms with sea view have the same amenities as the double rooms and differ only in the sea view from the balcony/terrace (DM/KDM). From November 1, 2023, bookable as a Premium Ocean View (PVO).

Family Room

Consist of 2 double rooms (1x with king-size bed and 1x with 2 double beds) with connecting door (DF2/KD2/KD3).

Family Master Suite

Consist of 2 double rooms like the family rooms and a connecting bathroom with additional amenities: complimentary toys upon arrival, a PlayStation (on request) in the room, and many Star Camp activities. Babysitting service can be used free of charge per stay (until 10 PM) (2MF).

Junior Suite

Are equipped like the double rooms, but more spacious (approx. 45m²). Additionally, turndown service and a welcome gift (JS2).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). When occupied by 2 adults + 1/2 children / 3 adults, no extra beds are placed in the room, meaning occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

The "Hispaniola" restaurant offers daily international breakfast in buffet form from 7 AM to 10 AM. Daily lunch buffet from 12:30 PM to 3 PM, and daily dinner in buffet form from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. The buffet restaurant "Hispaniola" and "Higuey" offers Mexican breakfast and dinner in buffet form from 7 AM to 10 AM and from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. Enjoy Oriental delicacies at "La Pagoda" from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. At "Maria Bonita," you can enjoy Mexican dinner from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. For French gourmet cuisine for discerning palates, dining is available from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. À la carte restaurants (reservations required, limited per stay, 1 week = 3 reservations, 2 weeks = 5 reservations) partly for a fee. Wi-Fi. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks until 2 AM at the respective open bars/disco.

For active holidays, the luxury hotel offers a PADI course (diving school) where you can experience excursions to the most beautiful dive sites, including: underwater caves, coral gardens, the sunken Astron, and depending on the season, you can even listen to the songs of humpback whales underwater. Children's program

For children, the hotel offers 3 kids' clubs/mini-clubs: "Monkey" for ages 4-7, "Dolphin" for ages 8-12, and "Eagle" for ages 13-17. Additionally, there is a separate pool for children, a playground, and a children's menu in the restaurant. Childcare is only available for a fee.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, a higher amount of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period. The beach and sea are affected by this. Hotel management and local authorities are naturally endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may generate some noise.
