Location

The 5-star Iberostar Punta Cana hotel is located on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic, directly on the shores of the paradisiacal Playa Bávaro beach. In the immediate vicinity, there is a vast stretch of tropical beach surrounded by a coral reef. Punta Cana Airport is approximately 25 km from the hotel.

The luxury hotel comprises a total of 427 rooms, divided into standard rooms, family rooms, and suites. Within the complex, there is a beautiful outdoor pool area with 3 pools, as well as a garden and a terrace offering a fantastic view. Stroll through the hotel's own shops, visit the casino, and the disco in the evening. For your culinary enjoyment, there are 6 restaurants, 2 buffet restaurants, and 8 bars/lounges (including a pool bar). Sun loungers, umbrellas, and bath towels are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach.

Double Room

The double rooms have a bathroom including shower and bathtub, cosmetic products, TV, tea/coffee maker, minibar, safe, air conditioning, king-size bed, double bed, and a balcony/terrace (D/DE/KD). Bookable as Premium Room (PR1/PR2/RK3/RK4) from 1.11.2023. Also bookable as Double Room Panoramic View (DP2) (located on upper floors). Bookable as Premium Upper Floor (PUF) from 1.11.2023.

Double Room Garden View

These rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms, but offer a fantastic garden view from the balcony/terrace. Bookable as Premium Tropical View (PTZ) from 1.11.2023.

Double Room Sea View

The double rooms with sea view have the same amenities as the double rooms and only differ in the sea view from the balcony/terrace (DM/KDM). Bookable as Premium Ocean View (PVO) from 1.11.2023.

Family Room

Consist of 2 double rooms (1 with king-size bed and 1 with 2 double beds) with connecting door (DF2/KD2/KD3).

Family Master Suite

Consist of 2 double rooms like the family rooms and a shared bathroom with additional amenities: complimentary toys upon arrival, a PlayStation (on request) in the room, and many Star Camp activities. Babysitting service can be used free of charge per stay (until 10 PM) (2MF).

Junior Suite

These are equipped like the double rooms, but are more spacious (approx. 45m²). Additionally, turndown service and a welcome gift (JS2).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if rollaway beds are listed on the confirmation!

The "Hispaniola" restaurant offers daily international breakfast buffet from 7 AM to 10 AM. Daily lunch buffet from 12:30 PM to 3 PM, and daily dinner buffet from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. The buffet restaurant "Hispaniola" and "Higuey" offer Mexican breakfast and dinner in buffet style from 7 AM to 10 AM and from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. You can enjoy Oriental delicacies at "La Pagoda" from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. At "Maria Bonita", you can enjoy Mexican dinner from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. For French gourmet cuisine, there is dinner for discerning palates from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. À la carte restaurants (with advance reservation, limited per stay, 1 week = 3 reservations, 2 weeks = 5 reservations) partly for a fee. Wi-Fi. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks until 2 AM at the respective open bars/disco.

For active holidays, the luxury hotel offers a PADI course (diving school) where you can experience excursions to the most beautiful dive sites, including: underwater caves, coral gardens, the sunken Astron, and depending on the season, you can even listen to the songs of humpback whales underwater. You can also play golf on the 18-hole course.

Children's Program

The hotel offers 3 kids' clubs/miniclubs for children: "Monkey" for ages 4-7, "Dolphin" for ages 8-12, and "Eagle" for ages 13-17. Additionally, there is a separate pool for children, a playground, and a children's menu in the restaurant. Childcare is only available for a fee.

Seasonal Note

During stays between April and December, increased seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, working to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of special equipment, which can cause some noise.
