Location

The hotel is located directly on the sandy beach "Playa Bávaro". In front of the more than 3 km long beach, a natural swimming pool with turquoise water, separated from the sea by a coral reef, extends, where a fantastic underwater world can be discovered.

The adults-only complex "Barcelo Bavaro Beach" with 589 rooms consists of 6 buildings, is built in Caribbean style and is part of the overall Barcelo Bavaro Grand Resort complex. The reception area is located at the entrance. Shops, a disco, a hairdresser, a pharmacy and a casino are spread across the hotel complex. The complex has two buffet restaurants "Caribe" and "La Brisa", two à la carte restaurants (international & Mediterranean cuisine) and 2 bars. Guests also have access to a selection of restaurants and bars at Barcelo Bavaro Palace. The spacious pool landscape includes an integrated whirlpool and sun terraces. Guests of Barceló Bavaro Beach can also use the buffet and 2 à la carte restaurants, bars and pools of Barcelo Bavaro Palace as part of the "Barceló All Inclusive" program.

Information

Wearing a bracelet is required to use the All Inclusive services. In cases of low hotel occupancy, there may be restrictions on restaurant opening hours (main restaurant excluded) in exceptional cases.
The hotel can only be booked for guests aged 18 and over.
Only guests aged 18 and over have access to the Barceló Bavaro Palace facilities (selected specialty restaurants at a small extra charge).
In the Dominican Republic, sinks or bathtubs/whirlpools may be integrated openly without spatial separation in the general living area of the hotel room.

Seasonal information

Between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are naturally endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which emits a slight background noise.
