The hotel is located directly on the sandy beach "Playa Bávaro". In front of the 3 km long beach, a natural swimming pool with turquoise water, separated from the sea by a coral reef, awaits you, offering a fantastic underwater world to discover.

The adult-focused resort "Barcelo Bavaro Beach" with 589 rooms consists of 6 buildings, built in Caribbean style, and is part of the overall complex Barcelo Bavaro Grand Resort. The reception area houses the reception. Shops, a disco, a hairdresser, a pharmacy, and a casino are spread throughout the hotel complex. The resort features two buffet restaurants "Caribe" and "La Brisa", two à la carte restaurants (international & Mediterranean cuisine), and 2 bars. Guests also have access to a selection of restaurants and bars at Barcelo Bavaro Palace. The spacious swimming pool area includes an integrated whirlpool and sun terraces. Guests of Barceló Bavaro Beach can also use the buffet/and 2 à la carte restaurants, bars, and pools of Barcelo Bavaro Palace as part of the "Barceló All Inclusive" program.

A wristband must be worn to use the All Inclusive services. In cases of low hotel occupancy, there may be restrictions on restaurant opening hours (except for the main restaurant).

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, increased amounts of brown algae are often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. Hotel management and local authorities are, of course, endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipalities. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may generate some noise.
