This comfortable beach resort belonging to the Spanish Catalonia hotel chain is located directly on the white, fine-sand beach of Cabeza de Toro. Transfer time from/to Punta Cana airport is only approx. 15 minutes.

The exclusive section of the Catalonia Royal Bavaro consists of 284 rooms. Guests of this adults-only facility may use all amenities of the Catalonia Bavaro and also have access to a separate beach area, 2 exclusive pools, 6 à-la-carte restaurants, 1 vegetarian restaurant, 1 à-la-carte pizzeria, as well as 6 bars and an exclusive spa area.

Junior Suite Superior

The junior suites feature bath/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe and slippers, a round bathtub in the room, king-size bed, LCD cable TV, telephone, safe, Wi-Fi (included), minibar, electric kettle, air conditioning, and a balcony or terrace, 24-hour room service, and a selection of different pillows (JU2/JU1).

Premium Junior Suite

These have the same amenities as the Junior Suites Superior, are located closer to the beach, are larger and more modern in design, and additionally feature 2 sinks, a separate shower, telephone in the bathroom, ironing board and iron, and a reading lamp (P2J/P1J).

Privilege Deluxe Junior Suite

These approx. 48 m² junior suites are located near the beach and offer air conditioning, bath or shower/WC, TV, safe, seating area, and the Privileged All-Inclusive service: 10% discount on hotel service offers, early check-in and late check-out (subject to availability), 24-hour room service, modern room design, turndown service, bath towels in the room upon arrival, and a private beach area (PDJ). Also bookable as a Privileged Romance Junior Suite (PRD) or with a swimming pool (2DP).

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For an occupancy of 3 adults, no extra beds are placed in the room; this means occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

In the Dominican Republic, sinks or even bathtubs/whirlpools can be integrated openly into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seagrass and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased appearance of brown algae in the Caribbean during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities naturally strive to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which creates some noise.
