The Quinta da Penha de França Mar hotel is located by the sea with direct access. The Quinta da Penha de França Mar hotel has 33 rooms. Further facilities include a reception (for check-in and check-out), an elevator, a bar, and the à la carte restaurant Rivus (open from Wednesday to Saturday). Double Room Sea View

The Double Room Sea View features the same equipment as the Double Room Pool Side, but includes a balcony with sea view (DM). Also bookable for single occupancy (DEM).

Star tour excursion program (subject to change/daily arrival possible):
Eira do Serrado/Monte (Monday/Thursday): Discover the most beautiful panoramas of Madeira on this half-day tour. From the height of Pico dos Barcelos, you can overlook the bay of Funchal and the tour continues to Eira do Serrado, from where you can look down to the bottom of an extinct volcano. At the very bottom lies the village of Curral das Freiras (Nuns' Valley). Continue to Monte, where you will visit the church of Nossa Senhora do Monte. On the way back, you have the opportunity to ride in the traditional wicker toboggans. (Not included in the price)
Porto Moniz (Wednesday/Friday): Departure towards Câmara de Lobos (fishing village, where the famous Espada – black scabbard fish – is caught). The journey continues over Cabo Girão (at 580m the highest sea cliff in Europe), and then the route takes us along the coast to Ribeira Brava. From Ponta do Sol, we head upwards to the plateau of Pául da Serra (1400m). Finally, the road descends to Porto Moniz to the natural sea swimming pools. This is where the lunch break is taken. The return journey is via the north coast and leads via Seixal to São Vicente. From there, it goes upwards over the Encumeada Pass (1007m), where one can see the north and south coasts simultaneously. Afterward, return to Funchal.
Santana (Tuesday/Saturday): Departure into the mountains via Poiso towards Pico do Arieiro (1810m). Then it goes downhill to Ribeiro Frio. Here you are in the middle of Madeira's laurel forest (Laurisilva), which has been declared a World Heritage Site. The journey continues to Santana, known for its thatched houses. This is where the lunch break is taken. Afterward, we head to Pico do Facho. Subsequently, return to Funchal.
Levada and Botanical Garden (Monday/Wednesday): The 4th and final excursion takes us after an approx. 1.5-hour levada hike (difficulty level: easy) to the Botanical Garden, which is famous for its approximately 3,000 different plant species (entrance fee and guided tour included).
