The Madeiran country house hotel is located in a quiet area, above the island's capital Funchal, and is situated directly next to the famous Palheiro Gardens. The center of Funchal, with its restaurants, bars, shopping, and entertainment options, is approximately 7 km away. A free shuttle bus to Funchal operates once daily (subject to availability, limited capacity). Funchal International Airport is approximately 15 km away.

The 5-star hotel features a main building ("Old House") with 3 floors and 2 annex buildings ("Golfwing" and "Gardenwing"), each with 2 floors, totaling 38 luxuriously appointed rooms/suites, and offers direct access to the beautiful Palheiro Golf course. The hotel's facilities include a reception area with a 24-hour front desk, a lobby with seating areas, an exquisite à la carte restaurant, a fireplace room with a library, a TV room, a cozy lounge with a bar, and a spa area with an indoor pool, sauna, and steam room. The beautifully landscaped garden features a sun terrace, a freshwater swimming pool, and a tennis court. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge for hotel guests in the pool area.

Accommodation

Double Room

The Double Rooms (D) were renovated in summer 2023 and are approximately 28 sqm in size. They are located in the separate annex building ("Gardenwing"), which adjoins the main building ("Old House"). Amenities include a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, desk, minibar (for a fee), safe (included), air conditioning (individually controlled, seasonal), central heating (individually controlled, seasonal), cable TV, Wi-Fi (included), and garden views. The rooms are on the ground floor or first floor. Also available as a single occupancy double room in summer (DE) or as a double room Type I with a limited quota at a special price (DI).

Superior Double Room

The Superior Double Rooms are approximately 32 sqm in size, have similar amenities to the Double Rooms, and are located in the annex building ("Golfwing") on the ground floor or first floor with views of the golf course. They feature a bathtub and a separate shower in the bathroom, and some on the ground floor have a small veranda. Also available as a single occupancy Superior Double Room (DSU/DEU).

Deluxe Double Room

The Deluxe Double Rooms were extensively renovated in summer 2022 and, with similar amenities to the Double Rooms, are located in the main building ("Old House"). Also available as a single occupancy Deluxe Double Room (DD2/DD1). Available in summer.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites (JS2) were extensively renovated in summer 2022 and, with otherwise similar amenities to the Double Rooms, are significantly more spacious (approx. 52 sqm) and located on the ground floor or first floor in the main building ("Old House"). These rooms are available upon request.
