The Pestana Promenade Premium Ocean & Spa Resort is located on the promenade (accessible via a gate in the hotel garden) with direct access to the sea, which connects "Praia Formosa" and the Lido. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean. The modern "Forum" shopping center is just a 5-minute walk away.

The hotel, part of the well-known Pestana hotel group, has a total of 128 rooms spread over 8 floors. It offers a reception area, 2 elevators, 2 restaurants (one of which is a themed restaurant and one an à-la-carte restaurant), a games room with a small library, as well as a pool/snack bar and a cocktail bar. In the outdoor area of the complex, there are three freshwater swimming pools with a separate area for children and a whirlpool. Sun loungers and umbrellas are provided free of charge.

Double room ocean view

The double rooms with ocean view feature bath/WC, hairdryer, sitting area with sofa bed, air conditioning, telephone, cable TV (LCD TV), pay TV (for a fee), safe (free of charge), minibar (for a fee), wooden floor, and a terrace or balcony located on the ground floor or 1st floor (DM). Also bookable for single use (DEM).

Superior double room ocean view

The superior double rooms have the same facilities as the double rooms with ocean view, feature a bath or shower/WC, but are located in a preferred position from the 2nd floor upwards (DMU).

Classic Room (FNCA02)

These approx. 21 m² rooms are located in the basement and feature two single beds, minibar (for a fee), safe, LCD TV, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, bathtub/WC, and hairdryer. The rooms are only accessible via stairs (CC2/CL2).

Double room pool view (FNCA02)

Like the Classic rooms, these spacious rooms offer two single beds and a balcony with a view of the pool (PD/SZP/EP/SZE). Also bookable with partial ocean view (DMS/RX2/EMS/RX1) for an extra charge.

Suite ocean view (FNCA02)

The comfortable suites (approx. 66 m², S2M) feature a visually separated sleeping area, living/sleeping area, air conditioning, bath or shower/WC, TV, minibar (for a fee), rental safe, and balcony.

Zusatzhinweis

Star tour excursion program (subject to change/daily arrival possible):
Eira do Serrado/Monte (Monday/Thursday): Discover the most beautiful panoramas of Madeira on this half-day tour. From the Pico dos Barcelos height, you can overlook the bay of Funchal and continue to Eira do Serrado, from where you can look down to the floor of an extinct volcano. Far below lies the village of Curral das Freiras (Nuns' Valley). Continue to Monte, where you will visit the church of Nossa Senhora do Monte. On the way back, you have the opportunity to ride the traditional wicker sleds. (Not included in the price)
Porto Moniz (Wednesday/Friday): Departure in the direction of Câmara de Lobos (fishing village where the famous Espada – black scabbardfish – is caught). We continue via Cabo Girão (at 580m, the highest cliff cape in Europe), and then the path leads us along the coast to Ribeira Brava. From Ponta do Sol, we go uphill to the plateau of Pául da Serra (1400m). Finally, we descend to Porto Moniz to the natural sea swimming pools. A lunch break is taken here. The return journey is via the north coast and leads through Seixal to São Vicente. From there, we go uphill via the Encumeada pass (1007m), where you can see the north and south coasts simultaneously. Subsequently return to Funchal.
Santana (Tuesday/Saturday): Departure into the mountains via Poiso in the direction of Pico do Arieiro (1810m). We then descend to Ribeiro Frio. Here you are in the middle of the laurel forest (Laurisilva) of Madeira, which was named a World Heritage Site. The journey continues to Santana, which is famous for its thatched houses. A lunch break is taken here. Afterwards, we go to Pico do Facho. Subsequently return to Funchal.
Levada and Botanical Garden (Monday/Wednesday): The 4th and final excursion takes us, after an approx. 1.5-hour Levada hike (difficulty level: easy), to the Botanical Garden, which is famous for its around 3,000 different plant species (entrance fee and guided tour included).
