The Pestana Promenade Premium Ocean & Spa Resort is located on the promenade (accessible through a gate in the hotel garden) with direct access to the sea, connecting "Praia Formosa" and the Lido area. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Atlantic Ocean. The modern "Forum" shopping center is just a 5-minute walk away.

The hotel, part of the renowned Pestana Hotel Group, features a total of 128 rooms spread over 8 floors. It offers a reception area, 2 elevators, 2 restaurants (including a themed restaurant and an à-la-carte restaurant), a game room with a small library, as well as a pool/snack bar and a cocktail bar. The outdoor area of the complex features three freshwater swimming pools with a separate area for children and a whirlpool. Sun loungers and umbrellas are provided free of charge.

The Double Rooms with sea view feature bath/WC, hairdryer, seating area with sofa bed, air conditioning, telephone, cable TV (LCD TV), pay-TV (for a fee), safe (free of charge), minibar (for a fee), wooden flooring, and a terrace or balcony located on the ground floor and 1st floor (DM). Also available for single occupancy (DEM).

The Superior Double Rooms have the same amenities as Double Rooms with sea view, feature a bath or shower/WC, but are located in a preferred position from the 2nd floor upwards (DMU).

These approx. 21 m² rooms are located in the basement and feature two single beds, minibar (for a fee), safe, LCD TV, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, bathtub/WC, and hairdryer. The rooms are only accessible via steps (CC2/CL2).

These spacious rooms offer, like the Classic rooms, two single beds and a balcony with a view of the pool (PD/SZP/EP/SZE). Also bookable with side sea view (DMS/RX2/EMS/RX1) for an extra charge.

The cozy suites (approx. 66 m², S2M) feature an optically separated sleeping area, living/bedroom area, air conditioning, bath or shower/WC, TV, minibar (for a fee), rental safe, and balcony.

Sternfahrt Excursion Program (subject to change/daily arrival possible):
Eira do Serrado/Monte (Monday/Thursday): Discover the most beautiful panoramas of Madeira on this half-day tour. From the heights of Pico dos Barcelos, you overlook the bay of Funchal and continue to Eira do Serrado, from where you can look down to the bottom of an extinct volcano. Deep below lies the village of Curral das Freiras (Valley of the Nuns). Continue to Monte, where you visit the Church of Nossa Senhora do Monte. On the way back, you have the opportunity to ride the traditional wicker sleds (Toboggan). (Not included in the price)
Porto Moniz (Wednesday/Friday): Departure towards Câmara de Lobos (fishing village where the famous Black Scabbardfish is caught). We continue via Cabo Girão (the highest sea cliff in Europe at 580m), and the path takes us along the coast to Ribeira Brava. From Ponta do Sol, we ascend to the plateau of Pául da Serra (1400m). Finally, we descend to Porto Moniz to the natural sea swimming pools. Lunch break will be taken here. The return journey is via the north coast and leads through Seixal to São Vicente. From there, we ascend over the Encumeada pass (1007m), where you can see the north and south coasts simultaneously. Subsequently, return to Funchal.
Santana (Tuesday/Saturday): Departure into the mountains via Poiso towards Pico do Arieiro (1810m). The route then leads downhill to Ribeiro Frio. Here you are in the middle of Madeira's laurel forest (Laurisilva), which has been declared a World Heritage Site. The trip continues to Santana, which is known for its thatched houses. Lunch break will be taken here. Afterwards, we go to Pico do Facho. Subsequently, return to Funchal.
Levada and Botanical Garden (Monday/Wednesday): The 4th and final excursion takes us, after an approx. 1.5-hour Levada hike (difficulty: easy), to the Botanical Garden, which is famous for its approx. 3,000 different plant species (entrance fee and guided tour included).

Directions from Funchal Airport (FNC):
Drive onto the highway towards Funchal and continue to exit no. 13 (Funchal/Hospital/Porto). You will reach a roundabout; take the exit towards the hospital/Avenida do Mar.
Turn right at the traffic light towards Câmara de Lobos, stay in the left lane onto Estrada Monumental. The hotel is now signposted.
