Location

This beautiful Hotel Quinta da Serra is situated at an altitude of 820 m, surrounded by mountains and gorges. The property covers 140 hectares. Funchal is only approx. 18 km away. A bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel. The hotel also offers a complimentary bus shuttle to Funchal.

The comfortable hotel consists of a total of 52 rooms – a historic Quinta and a modern new building. It features the spacious and cozy organic restaurant "Greenvalley" with international cuisine made predominantly from local organic products (certified), a luxurious ambiance, personal service, and a magnificent view over the valley. Furthermore, the hotel offers a bar, reading room, internet free of charge, various lounges, conference room, a covered swimming pool that is used as a panoramic indoor pool in winter, and a fitness room. In the outdoor area, you will find magnificent gardens with numerous centuries-old trees, tropical plants, small levadas, and a small jogging track. There are numerous hiking trails on the property, so you can enjoy nature without leaving the premises.

Arrival by car

Directions from Funchal Airport (FNC):
From the airport, take the highway (Via Rapida) towards Funchal/Ribeira Brava. After 25 km, take exit No. 5 (pay attention to the signage) and continue driving up the road. In the tunnel, stay in the right lane and drive towards Jardim da Serra. After reaching the roundabout, take the second exit and continue until you reach an intersection. At this point, you will see a church. Turn right and drive up the road; the church will now be on your left side. After passing it, you will see a blue sign with the name of our hotel. Follow the signs; after approx. 10 minutes, you will find the hotel on the right side.
