Location

The hotel is located above the town centre of Bad Gastein, providing a magnificent view of the valley and the surrounding mountains. This location offers guests a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to its central location, the hotel is an ideal starting point for various leisure activities.
In winter, skiing and snowboarding in the neighbouring ski area, the Ski Amade ski region, are a major draw, while summer highlights include hiking, mountain bike tours and excursions to the surrounding nature reserves. The famous thermal baths of Bad Gastein, known for their healing properties, are also just a few minutes away and offer the opportunity to relax after an active day.
The nearest mountain railway is just about 500 m away and offers access to a hiking paradise; for cooling off in the summer, there is a swimming lake approximately 3 km away.
In winter, this region is an absolute winter paradise, whether you are looking for activities like skiing, winter hiking, or tobogganing. The hotel is situated directly at the "Schlossalm-Angertal Stubnerkogel" ski area, which belongs to the well-known Ski Amade ski association.

Facilities

The hotel, with its approximately 202 tastefully furnished rooms, serves as an ideal accommodation for switching off from everyday life while on holiday in the mountains. Guests are welcomed in a large lobby with a reception area and can also spend time in the reading room, at the bar, or on the sun terrace equipped with deckchairs. Culinary highlights are provided in the restaurant "Zeitgeist" with fresh and creative dishes. The hotel's own alpine hut with a biotope, located only about a 20-minute walk away, is also popular.
The hotel consists of a main building and several annexe buildings. Accommodation may be in the main building or in one of the annexe buildings.

2-room apartment

The rustically furnished apartments offer a combined living/sleeping room with a double pull-out sofa or Murphy bed as a double bed, as well as a separate double room with a connecting door. The bathroom features a bathtub or shower, separate WC, hairdryer, and rental bathrobe for adults and children. Further features include a telephone, Wi-Fi, cable TV, radio, rental safe, kitchenette with kitchen appliances, dining/seating area, and a balcony or terrace (approx. 46m², A12).

Studio

The studios for 2 persons are smaller and feature a living/sleeping area with a double bed; otherwise, they have similar facilities to the apartments (approx. 25m², S12).

NEW from Summer 2025: For all guests staying overnight in the state of Salzburg from 1 May 2025, there is a new levy, the "mobility levy". The fee is charged in parallel with the local tax per overnight stay and goes towards the expansion of transport infrastructure.
