Location

The Valamar Tamaris hotel is situated on the Lanterna peninsula, approx. 13 km from Porec. During the summer season, daily bus and boat connections to the town of Porec are available. The sea, featuring pebble, rocky, and sandy beaches as well as swimming plateaus (sun loungers and umbrellas available for a fee), is located approx. 100 m away.

Facilities

The hotel features 313 rooms spread across four floors with two lifts in the main building, as well as 108 suites and villas in the annex buildings Casa Agava, Casa Palma, and Tamaris Villas. Facilities include a lobby with a 24-hour reception, hotel restaurant, à-la-carte restaurant on the beach (June–September), Istrian Tavern (June–September), and pool and lobby bars each with a terrace. There is a freshwater swimming pool with water features and a water slide; sun loungers, umbrellas, towels, and showers are included here. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the entire hotel.

Accommodation

Superior Double Room (can only be booked on request)

The rooms (DSU) are located in the main building and are equipped with shower/WC, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, hairdryer, Wi-Fi (free of charge), minibar (for a fee), safe, and a balcony. Also available to book with single/child occupancy (1DS).

Superior Sea Side (can only be booked on request)

With the same facilities as the Superior double rooms, these rooms are located on the sea side and also feature a balcony (SMS). Also available to book with single/child occupancy (1MS).

Superior Family Room (can only be booked on request)

These consist of two Superior double rooms with a connecting door and balcony (F2U).

Superior Family Suite (can only be booked on request)

The family suites (approx. 38–40 m²) are located in the annex buildings Casa Agava (2FF) and Casa Palma (ASF) and consist of a bedroom and a living room. They are equipped with shower or bath/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning/heating, safe, smoke detector, direct-dial telephone, Wi-Fi, LCD satellite TV with children's programming, minibar (for a fee), and a balcony.

Villa Sea Side with Balcony or Terrace (can only be booked on request)

The villas are located in the Tamaris Villas annex and feature 2 bedrooms, a living room with a sofa, and 2 bathrooms (1x with bathtub and 1x with shower). They are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, mini-fridge, kitchenette, microwave, and dishwasher, as well as a terrace or balcony, and are located on the sea side (V2).

Premium Villa Sea Side Terrace

With similar equipment to the Sea Side villas, the Premium villas feature a sea-side terrace and are 55m² in size. The (V12) are equipped with one bedroom with 2 single beds, a living area with a sofa bed, and one bathroom. The (V22) have 2 bedrooms, each with 2 single beds in one room and a queen-size bed in the other, a living area with a sofa bed, and either 1 or 2 bathrooms (depending on occupancy).

Double Room

The double rooms are equipped with twin beds, a balcony with a park view, minibar (for a fee), internet (free of charge), safe (free of charge), flat-screen satellite TV, and individually adjustable air conditioning (from June to September) and centrally controlled heating. The bathroom is equipped with a shower/WC (approx. 20–23 m², D/D1K).

Double Room Sea Side

Otherwise similar in equipment to the beautifully furnished double rooms, these have a prime location on the sea side (DY2).

Interconnecting Double Rooms

These are two adjacent double rooms with a connecting door. Each room features a twin bed and a bathroom with a shower (CI2).

Generous breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets in the Mediterraneo Restaurant. Regular themed dinners such as Istrian, Croatian, Mediterranean, or Burger night. Beverages from the drinks station, as well as local wine and local beer, water, and non-alcoholic soft drinks, are included with lunch and dinner. Selected light snacks and drinks are also included during the day at the "Istrian Tavern." The lobby and pool bar also invite you to enjoy cool drinks throughout the day.
Maro Club: For children up to 12 years of age, refreshments from the drinks dispenser at the bar and ice cream are included during the day.

Children's program

Children's pool, playground, cinema, and a separate playroom from June 1st to September 15th. From June 15th to September 1st, Maro Club is available for various age groups:
Maro Baby (0-3 years): Lounge area for relaxing with parents and a Maro Baby Room.
Maro Club (3-7 years and 7-12 years): Children's room with various activities and entertainment programs. The Maro Club is open for 4 hours per day, and 6 hours in high season.
Teen (12+ years): Teenager open-air zone, video games, sports activities (beach volleyball, table tennis, badminton, etc.), evening program such as beach parties, disco, or movie night. Go-karting or paintball are offered for a fee and only with parents.
