Location

The Hotel Valamar Tamaris is located on the Lanterna peninsula, approx. 13 km from Porec. During the summer season, bus and boat connections to the town of Porec are available daily. The sea with its pebble, rock, and sand beach and bathing plateau (sun loungers and umbrellas for a fee) is approx. 100 m away.

Facilities

The hotel has 313 rooms spread over four floors with two elevators in the main building, as well as 108 suites and villas in the adjacent buildings Casa Agava, Casa Palma, and Tamaris Villas. Facilities include a lobby with a 24-hour reception, hotel restaurant, à la carte restaurant on the beach (June-September), Istrian Tavern (June-September), pool and lobby bar, each with a terrace, a freshwater swimming pool with water features and a water slide; sun loungers, umbrellas, towels, and showers are included here. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel.

Accommodation

Double Room Superior (bookable by request only)

The rooms (DSU) are located in the main building and are equipped with a shower/WC, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, hairdryer, Wi-Fi (free), minibar (for a fee), safe, and a balcony. Can also be booked for single occupancy or with a child (1DS).

Superior Sea View (bookable by request only)

With the same amenities as the Double Rooms Superior, these rooms are located on the sea-facing side and also have a balcony (SMS). Can also be booked for single occupancy or with a child (1MS).

Family Room Superior (bookable by request only)

These consist of two Double Rooms Superior with a connecting door and a balcony (F2U).

Family Suite Superior (bookable by request only)

The family suites (approx. 38-40 m²) are located in the adjacent buildings Casa Agava (2FF) and Casa Palma (ASF) and consist of a bedroom and a living room. They are equipped with a shower or bath/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning/heating, safe, smoke detector, direct dial telephone, Wi-Fi, LCD satellite TV with children's programming, minibar (for a fee), and a balcony.

Villa Sea View Balcony or Terrace (bookable by request only)

The villas are located in the adjacent Tamaris Villas building and have 2 bedrooms and a living room with a sofa, as well as 2 bathrooms (1 with a bathtub and 1 with a shower). They are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, mini-fridge, kitchenette, microwave and dishwasher, as well as a terrace or balcony and are sea-facing (V2).

Villa Premium Sea View Terrace

With similar amenities to the Sea View Villas, the Premium Villas have a sea-facing terrace (V12/V22).

Double Room

The double rooms are equipped with twin beds, a balcony with park view, minibar (for a fee), internet (free), safe (free), and a flat-screen satellite TV, as well as individually adjustable air conditioning (from June to September) and central heating. The bathroom is equipped with a shower/WC (approx. 20-23 m², D/D1K).

Double Room Sea View

With otherwise similar amenities to the nicely furnished double rooms, these have a special sea-facing location (DY2).

Double Room Interconnecting

These are two adjacent double rooms with a connecting door. Each room has twin beds and a bathroom with a shower (CI2).

Rich breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet at the Mediterraneo Restaurant. At the dinner buffet, there are regular themed nights such as Istrian, Croatian, Mediterranean, or Burger night. Drinks from the beverage station, as well as local wine and local beer, water, and soft drinks are included with lunch and dinner. Light snacks and drinks are also available throughout the day at the "Istrian Tavern". The lobby and pool bar also invite you for refreshing drinks during the day.
Maro Club: For children up to 12 years old, soft drinks from the vending machine at the bar and ice cream are included during the day.

Sports included

(subject to availability): Fitness center, large chessboard, walking and jogging paths, volleyball and beach volleyball, soccer, beach soccer, handball, basketball. Bicycle rental.

Sports for a fee

(subject to availability): Sports center (100 m from the hotel, open from April to October), tennis courts, and various water sports offered by third-party providers. Boccia, mini-golf, and table tennis.

Children's pool, children's playground, cinema, and a separate playroom from June 1st to September 15th. From June 15th to September 1st, Maro Club for various age groups:
Maro Baby (0-3 years): Lounge area for relaxing with parents and Maro Baby Room.
Maro Club (3-7 years and 7-12 years): Children's room with various activities and entertainment programs. The Maro Club is open for 4 hours a day, and 6 hours during high season.
Teen (12+ years): Teenager open-air zone, video games, sports activities (beach volleyball, table tennis, badminton, etc.), evening program e.g. beach parties, disco, or movie nights. Go-karting or paintball are offered for a fee and only with parents.

Wellness

Turkish bath, Finnish sauna, outdoor whirlpool, relaxation room, and the whirlpool are included. Massages and treatments are available at the wellness center for a fee.
