Location

In a quiet location and separated from the beautiful sandy beach of Plakias only by a coastal road. The resort of Plakias can be reached in approx. 5 minutes on foot. The town of Rethymno is approx. 35 km away. The distance to Heraklion Airport is approx. 110 km and to Chania Airport approx. 95 km.

The well-maintained apartment complex has a total of 45 rooms and offers its guests a lobby with reception (Wi-Fi is available at the reception and included). In the lush green outdoor area, there are 3 freshwater swimming pools and a separate children's pool. Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool and on the beach. Bath towels are available to guests free of charge.

Studio

The well-equipped studios consist of a combined living/sleeping area and have a bathroom/WC, modern fitted kitchen, dining area, refrigerator, air conditioning (included), satellite TV, safe, and terrace (S12). Also available for single occupancy (S11).

With the same facilities as the studios, the apartments additionally feature 1 separate bedroom and a balcony or terrace (A12/A2I). Optionally available for single occupancy (A11) or as an apartment with 2 separate bedrooms (A22).

Superior Apartment

With the same facilities as the apartments, these are renovated and feature 2 bedrooms (2AU).

Villa Sea View 3 Bedrooms private pool

The 3-bedroom Sea View Villa with a private pool spans two floors. The ground floor features a bedroom, bathroom/WC, a cozy living area, and a modern kitchen with a dining area. The veranda offers a beautiful view of the private pool and the garden.
On the first floor, there are two further bedrooms, a bathroom with shower/tub, and a washing machine. Amenities also include air conditioning (included), satellite TV, safe, bathrobes, hairdryer, and bath towels (M3V).
The private pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children for bookings of these room types.

Climate Resilience Tax Note

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax, which is payable by the guest on site, similar to a local visitor's tax. The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and, as of January 1, 2025, is staggered from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room.
For stays in the high season April 1 - October 31:
Land category 1-2 stars: 2 euros
Land category 3 stars: 5 euros
Land category 4 stars: 10 euros
Land category 5 stars: 15 euros
For stays in the low season November 1 - March 31:
