Location

The Apollo Plakias is a small apartment hotel in a quiet location, only approx. 150 m from the sandy beach of Plakias. The nearest bars and restaurants can be reached in about 50 m, and the town of Rethymno is approx. 35 km away. Chania International Airport is about 120 km away and Heraklion Airport is 130 km away.

Facilities

The small complex with only 34 rooms features a lobby with reception (staffed from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.), luggage room, and a breakfast lounge. In the garden area, there is a swimming pool, and a pool/snack bar provides refreshments and snacks.
Since summer 2024, the pool area has been renovated and offers new sun loungers and umbrellas (included), as well as a refurbished pool/snack bar and a newly designed garden area. Sun umbrellas and loungers are included at the pool; they are available at the public beach for a fee. Bath towels are available for a fee.
Wi-Fi is included in the rooms.

Accommodation

Deluxe Double Room

The Deluxe Double Rooms feature a shower/WC with a hairdryer and toiletries. They are also equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning/heating, telephone, safe, flatscreen TV, mini-fridge with one bottle of water daily, ceiling fan, coffee/tea maker with daily replenishment, Nespresso machine (including two capsules per day, additional ones for a fee), and a balcony (DD2).
Optionally bookable for single occupancy (DD1/1TA).

Note on climate resilience fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which is payable by the guest on-site, similar to a local tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and is tiered from January 1, 2025, between 0.50 euros and 15 euros per day and room.
For stays in high season April 1 - October 31:
