The centrally located property, which welcomes guests aged 10 and over, is only approx. 50 m from the beach and is located directly in the town center of Georgioupolis. The worth-visiting towns of Rethymno and Chania are 19 km and 36 km away, respectively. Chania Airport is approx. 42 km away and Heraklion Airport is 104 km away.

The adults-friendly hotel with a total of 53 rooms features a lobby with 24-hour reception, lift, TV area, buffet restaurant, and a bar. In the outdoor area, there is a refreshing swimming pool. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach. Bath towels can be borrowed free of charge. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel complex.

Double room

The double rooms, renovated in summer 2025, are equipped with a double bed or two single beds and a bathroom with a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, and slippers. They are also equipped with a 43" satellite TV, telephone, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, mini-fridge, kettle, coffee/tea station, espresso machine (two capsules per day included), and a balcony or terrace (D/DI).
Alternatively, also bookable with sea view (DM/DMI) or in the annex building (DA).

Superior double room

The superior double rooms have otherwise identical facilities to the double rooms, are more spacious, and feature an additional sofa bed (DSU/DSI/DSB).
Alternatively, also bookable as Superior double room Economy (2US).

Superior double room with whirlpool

The superior double rooms with whirlpool have otherwise identical facilities to the double rooms and feature a whirlpool on the balcony (J2N/2GI).
The pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We kindly ask for prudent behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, a minimum age of 10 years applies at Schauinsland-Reisen for bookings of these room types.

Suite

The suites, located in the annex building, consist of a combined living/bedroom with a sofa bed, a separate bedroom with a double bed or two single beds, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower/WC as well as a balcony or terrace, with otherwise identical facilities to the double rooms (S2).

Meals

Breakfast/Half board

Rich breakfast buffet from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., as well as a late-riser breakfast from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Lunch is offered à la carte from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for a fee.
With booked half board, dinner is served in the form of a selection of different menus.
Proper attire is requested for dinner. Gentlemen are asked to wear trousers, a shirt, and closed shoes.
Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available upon request.

Destination information Climate Resilience Fee

For stays starting from Jan 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and has been tiered from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room since Jan 1, 2025.
