Location

The Georgioupolis Resort is an exclusive holiday resort, separated from the gently sloping sandy beach only by the national road (approx. 250 m via an underpass, a shuttle service is offered on request). It is located approx. 3 km from the village of Georgioupolis and 700 m from the center of Kavros. The famous Kournas Lake, Crete's only natural freshwater lake, is approx. 3 km away. Chania Airport is approx. 48 km away and Heraklion Airport approx. 101 km.

The extensive hotel complex with 155 rooms consists of a main building and several 2-story bungalow buildings. The main building houses a bright, new, and luxurious reception area with a 24-hour reception, satellite TV corner, Wi-Fi (included throughout the hotel complex), mini-market, a non-smoking restaurant with a new design, the "Elia" à la carte restaurant with a partially covered outdoor terrace, and several bars (weather permitting). In the generously designed outdoor area, there is a large "Activity Pool" and a quiet/relax pool with a sun terrace, the pool/snack bars, a Meze restaurant, and a grill/fish restaurant on the beach (weather dependent, reservation required).
Since summer 2020, there has been a water park belonging to the hotel with various slides and water features for all ages.
There is a beach bar and a "Sweet Corner" on the beach where a wide selection of pastries and ice cream is available.
Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge on the beach. There are also Bali beds that can be reserved subject to availability (for a fee, included with AI Plus, subject to availability). Bath towels are available for a deposit.

The freshly renovated rooms feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning, mini-fridge (one bottle of water is included upon arrival), minibar (for a fee), satellite TV, Wi-Fi, telephone, safe (included), and a balcony or terrace. They are located in the bungalow buildings or the main building and are modernly furnished (DSU). Can also be booked for single use (DSE/UB1). In addition, a welcome basket, bathrobes, slippers, kettle, and coffee/tea making facilities.

The comfortably furnished Junior Suites are located on the ground floor and feature a bedroom with a king-size bed and a separate living area with a sofa bed, bathroom with walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, and toiletries, 2x individually adjustable air conditioning, fan, Wi-Fi (included), safe (included), 2x 46" Smart satellite TVs with HDMI connection, telephone, coffee and tea station, espresso machine (4 capsules daily per room), and a minibar (included for AI guests and refilled daily with 2 cans of beer, 2 cans of soft drinks, 2 bottles of water, and 2 juices; with HP, refilled only for a fee). Meals

Half Board

Breakfast and dinner buffet. Dinner is also available between 7 PM and 9:30 PM in the "Elia" à la carte restaurant, the Meze restaurant, or the grill/fish restaurant on the beach (reservation required, for a surcharge). Drinks are generally not included for guests on the Half Board meal plan. Vegetarian dishes and special diets are available (on request at the restaurant).
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner.

All Inclusive

Breakfast (7 AM - 10 AM), lunch (12:30 PM - 2:30 PM), and dinner (6:30 PM - 9:30 PM) with regular themed evenings in buffet form in the main restaurant. Early bird breakfast until 7:30 AM, late risers can enjoy a small breakfast from 10 AM to 10:30 AM (on request). A midnight snack is offered from 10:30 PM to 12 AM.
Once a week, dinner in the "Elia" à la carte restaurant, the Meze restaurant, or the grill restaurant on the beach is included (reservation required, drinks at a charge, however, guests receive a 20% discount on drinks).
From 12 PM to 4 PM, there is also a selection of snacks, sweets, and ice cream.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included from 10 AM to 12 AM at the open bar: soft drinks, water, soda, various juices, beer, house wine (white and red), Ouzo, Raki, brandy, vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey, liqueurs, and selected cocktails.
Selected drinks and snacks are included at the beach bar.

All Inclusive Plus

In addition to the points mentioned in All Inclusive, dinner can be enjoyed daily in the "Elia" à la carte restaurant, the Meze restaurant, or the grill restaurant on the beach, subject to availability (limited availability, reservation required). Selected wines are included, while other wines are available according to the menu and for a fee (with a 20% discount).
Minibar replenishment every two days with 2 cans of beer and cola and 1 sprite is also included. Other drinks and snacks are available for a fee.
Furthermore, various iced coffee variations, over 25 cocktails, and a wide selection of international branded spirits are included.
Drinks and snacks are also included at the beach bar.

Note on climate resilience levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience levy, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax.
