Location

The Georgioupolis Resort is an exclusive holiday resort, separated from the gently sloping sandy beach only by the national road (approx. 250 m via underpass, shuttle service available on request). It is located about 3 km from the village of Georgioupolis and 700 m from the center of Kavros. The well-known Lake Kournas, Crete's only natural freshwater lake, is about 3 km away. Chania Airport is approx. 48 km away and Heraklion Airport approx. 101 km.

The extensive hotel complex with 155 rooms consists of a main building and several 2-story bungalow buildings. The main building houses a bright, new, and luxurious reception hall with a 24-hour reception, satellite TV corner, Wi-Fi (included throughout the hotel complex), mini-market, non-smoking restaurant with a new design, the "Elia" à la carte restaurant with a partially covered outdoor terrace, and several bars (weather permitting). The generously designed outdoor area features a large "Activity Pool" as well as a quiet/relax pool with a sun terrace, pool/snack bars, a Meze restaurant, and a grill/fish restaurant on the beach (weather dependent, reservation required).
Since summer 2020, there has been a water park belonging to the hotel with various slides and water games for all ages.
On the beach, there is a beach bar and a "Sweet Corner" offering a wide selection of pastries and ice cream.
Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge on the beach. Bali beds can also be reserved subject to availability (for a fee, included with AI Plus, subject to availability). Beach towels are available for a deposit.

Double Room Superior

The newly renovated rooms feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, individually controlled air conditioning, mini-fridge (one bottle of water included upon arrival), minibar (for a fee), satellite TV, Wi-Fi, telephone, safe (included), and a balcony or terrace. They are located in the bungalow buildings or the main building and are modernly furnished (DSU). Also available for single occupancy (DSE/UB1). Additionally, a welcome basket, bathrobes, slippers, kettle, and coffee/tea making facilities are provided.

These are Double Rooms Superior with the same amenities and are located in the bungalows with garden view (B2A/B2B). Additionally, a welcome basket, bathrobes, slippers, kettle, and coffee/tea making facilities are included.

These rooms are located in the bungalow buildings or the main building, freshly renovated and decorated in a modern style. They have the same amenities as the Double Rooms Superior but are more spacious and feature a separate bedroom with a sofa bed or additional beds (F2U). Additionally, a welcome basket, bathrobes, slippers, kettle, minibar (for AI bookings, refilled every 2 days with 2 cans of beer and cola each, and 1 sprite; other drinks and snacks for a fee), and coffee/tea making facilities are provided.

Junior Suite

The comfortably furnished Junior Suites are located on the ground floor and feature a bedroom with a king-size bed and a separate living area with a sofa bed, a bathroom with a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, and toiletries, 2 individually controlled air conditioners, fan, Wi-Fi (included), safe (included), 2x 46" Smart-Sat-TV with HDMI connection, telephone, coffee and tea station, espresso machine (4 capsules daily per room), and a minibar (included for AI guests and refilled daily with 2 cans of beer, 2 cans of soft drinks, 2 bottles of water, and 2 juices; for HB guests, refill is only for a fee). Laptops, tablets, iPads, e-book readers, or PlayStations can be borrowed on request and subject to availability for a deposit. Other amenities include an additional turndown service in the afternoon and a full-length mirror. All Junior Suites have a terrace with a table and chairs (bookable under hotel code HER713, JS2). Half Board

Breakfast and dinner served buffet-style. Dinner is also available from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM in the "Elia" à la carte restaurant, the Meze restaurant, or the grill/fish restaurant on the beach (reservation required, for an additional charge). Drinks are generally not included for guests on the Half Board meal plan. Vegetarian dishes and special dietary meals are offered (on request at the restaurant).
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner.

All Inclusive

Breakfast (7:00 AM-10:00 AM), lunch (12:30 PM-2:30 PM), and dinner (6:30 PM-9:30 PM) with regular themed buffets in the main restaurant. Early bird breakfast until 7:30 AM, late risers can enjoy a light breakfast from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM (on request). A midnight snack is offered from 10:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
Once a week, dinner is included at the "Elia" à la carte restaurant, the Meze restaurant, or the grill restaurant on the beach (reservation required, drinks for a fee, but guests receive a 20% discount on drinks).
From 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, a selection of snacks, sweets, and ice cream is available.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM at the open bar: soft drinks, water, soda, various juices, beer, house wines (white and red), ouzo, raki, brandy, vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey, liqueurs, and selected cocktails.
Selected drinks and snacks are included at the beach bar.

All Inclusive Plus

In addition to the All Inclusive services, dinner can be enjoyed daily at the "Elia" à la carte restaurant, the Meze restaurant, or the grill restaurant on the beach, subject to availability (limited availability, reservation required). Selected wines are included, while other wines are available from the menu for a fee (with a 20% discount).
The minibar refill every two days with 2 cans of beer and cola each and 1 sprite is also included. Further drinks and snacks are available for a fee.
Additionally, various iced coffee variations, over 25 cocktails, and a wide selection of international brand spirits are included.
Drinks and snacks are also included at the beach bar.

Sports included

Table tennis, basketball, tennis, darts, boccia, fitness gym, beach soccer, beach volleyball, water slides, water polo, and much more.

Children's program

For the little guests, the hotel offers a mini-club (0-2 years, supervised by parents), kids' club (3-12 years), teens' club (13-17 years, only July 15 - August 31), children's playground with indoor and outdoor areas, children's pool, baby cots, high chairs in the restaurant, and a diverse entertainment program with games, dances, quizzes, competitions, evening shows, musicals, sketches, and themed activities.

Information for climate resilience contribution

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government is levying a climate resilience contribution, payable by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, as of January 1, 2025, ranges from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day per room.
