Location

The Pilot Beach Resort is situated directly on a kilometer-long sandy beach awarded with the Blue Flag, offering picturesque views of the sea and the Lefka Ori (the so-called White Mountains). The complex was built on a large, natural area. The fishing village of Georgioupolis is approx. 1 km away. The famous Lake Kournas is the only natural freshwater lake on the Greek island of Crete and can be reached as an excursion destination in approx. 6 km. The entire hotel complex is located in an area characterized by natural beauty and surrounded by olive and avocado trees. Furthermore, the hotel features carefully landscaped gardens and swimming pools. Chania Airport is about 42 km away and Heraklion is approx. 100 km away. A bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel.

The spacious complex consists of 450 rooms spread over two areas connected by an underpass. One of the areas is located in the lower part of the complex directly on the sandy beach. The main building houses the 24-hour reception with a spacious lobby lounge, main restaurant with a roof terrace, Greek themed restaurant with an Italian corner, bar with a large terrace, billiard room, bridge room, conference rooms, hairdresser, jeweler, mini-market, indoor pool (heatable for the low season), and a spa area. In the annex building, near the beach, there is an Asian restaurant (June–September), a beach restaurant, and a beach bar. The outdoor area includes an open-air cinema, four freshwater swimming pools with sun terraces and lawns, as well as a children's pool with slides. Sun loungers, beach towels, and parasols are available free of charge at the pools and on the beach.
Wi-Fi is included throughout the hotel complex.

The renovated Beachfront Bungalows feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC or shower/WC, hairdryer, vanity mirror, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, refrigerator, minibar (on request, for a fee), safe, coffee/tea station, and a furnished balcony, and are located in the 1st beach row (BF2).

Family Junior Suite 2 Bedrooms

The renovated Family Junior Suites feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC or shower/WC, hairdryer, vanity mirror, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, refrigerator, minibar (on request, for a fee), safe, coffee/tea station, and a furnished balcony. These rooms consist of two bedrooms accessible via a connecting door. The Family Junior Suites are located in the upper part of the complex (FJ2).

Suite Deluxe Pool View

These spacious suites are located in the upper area of the complex, consist of a bedroom, a separate living/bedroom with a double sofa bed or two single beds, and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, vanity mirror, bathrobes, slippers, individually controlled air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, refrigerator, minibar (for a fee), safe, coffee/tea station, and a furnished balcony or terrace with pool view (S2).

Rich breakfast buffet in the "Kronos" main restaurant (7-11 a.m.) and also in the "Gialos" beach restaurant (May-October; 8-10:30 a.m.). Dinner is also served in buffet style in the "Kronos" main restaurant with show cooking (6:30-9:30 p.m.). Optionally also possible in the "Ariadne" Greek themed restaurant (7-10:30 p.m.) and "Gialos" beach restaurant (7-9:45 p.m.) with themed evenings (except Wednesday and Saturday).
For children up to 13 years, snacks, pizza, fries, fruit salad, yogurt, sweets, ice cream, juices, and milk are available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the "Tasty Corner".

Note on climate resilience fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, comparable to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and has been staggered from 0.50 Euro to 15 € per day and room as of January 1, 2025.
