Location

The Pilot Beach Resort is located directly on a kilometer-long sandy beach awarded with the "Blue Flag," offering picturesque views of the sea and the Lefka Ori (the so-called White Mountains). The complex was built on a large, natural site. The fishing village of Georgioupolis is approx. 1 km away. The famous Lake Kournas, the only natural freshwater lake on the Greek island of Crete, is a popular excursion destination approx. 6 km away. The entire hotel complex is situated in an area of natural beauty, framed by olive and avocado trees. Furthermore, the hotel features carefully landscaped gardens and swimming pools. Chania Airport is about 42 km away, and Heraklion is about 100 km away. A bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel.

The spacious complex consists of 450 rooms distributed across two areas connected by an underpass. One of the areas is situated in the lower part of the resort directly on the sandy beach. The main building houses the 24-hour reception with a spacious lobby lounge, the main restaurant with a rooftop terrace, a Greek theme restaurant with an Italian corner, a bar with a large terrace, a billiards room, a bridge room, conference rooms, a hairdresser, a jeweler, a mini-market, an indoor pool (heatable for the pre- and post-season), and a spa area. Located in the annex building near the beach are an Asian restaurant (June-September), a beach restaurant, and a beach bar. The outdoor facilities include an open-air cinema, four freshwater swimming pools with sun terraces and sunbathing lawns, as well as a children's pool with slides. Sun loungers, pool towels, and parasols are available free of charge at the pools and on the beach.
Wi-Fi is included throughout the hotel complex.

The renovated Beach/Garden Side Bungalows feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC or shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, refrigerator, minibar (on request, for a fee), safe, coffee/tea station, and a furnished terrace or balcony with garden views. These are located in the lower area of the resort near the beach (E2L). Also available to book in the lower area of the resort with sea view (B2M) or for single occupancy with sea view (B1M).

Beachfront Bungalow

The renovated Beachfront Bungalows feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC or shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, refrigerator, minibar (on request, for a fee), safe, coffee/tea station, and a furnished balcony. They are situated in the first row to the beach (BF2).

Family Junior Suite 2 Bedrooms

The renovated Family Junior Suites feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC or shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, refrigerator, minibar (on request, for a fee), safe, coffee/tea station, and a furnished balcony. These rooms consist of two bedrooms, accessible via a connecting door. The Family Junior Suites are located in the upper part of the resort (FJ2).

Deluxe Suite Pool View

The spacious suites are located in the upper area of the resort and consist of a bedroom and a separate living/bedroom with a double sofa bed or two single beds. They feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, refrigerator, minibar (for a fee), safe, coffee/tea station, and a furnished balcony or terrace with views of the pool (S2).

Half Board

Rich breakfast buffet in the main restaurant "Kronos" (7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.) and also in the beach restaurant "Gialos" (May-October; 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.). Dinner is also served in buffet form in the main restaurant "Kronos" with show cooking (6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.). Optionally, dinner is also available at the Greek theme restaurant "Ariadne" (7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.) and the beach restaurant "Gialos" (7:00 p.m. – 9:45 p.m.) with theme evenings (except Wednesdays and Saturdays).
For children up to 13 years, snacks, pizza, fries, fruit salad, yogurt, sweets, ice cream, juices, and milk are available at the "Tasty Corner" from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Appropriate dress is requested. Gentlemen are asked to wear long trousers for dinner.

Note on climate resilience fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount is based on the type/category of the accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room as of January 1, 2025.
For stays in the high season April 1 to October 31:
