Location

Directly on the 12 km long, gently sloping sandy beach awarded the "Blue Flag", located in the Georgioupolis resort area. In the vicinity of the hotel, there are a few tavernas and shops. The picturesque center of Georgioupolis is about 4 km away (a 45-minute walk along the beach). A local bus stop is approximately 100 m away. The beautiful freshwater lake of Kournas is about 5 km away, Rethymnon about 18 km. Heraklion Airport is about 100 km away, and Chania Airport is about 50 km away.

The appealing Hotel Eliros Mare, completely renovated in winter 2020/21, consists of 143 rooms spread across a main building and 6 small annexes. It offers guests a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a small seating area, a TV corner (satellite TV, several German channels), Wi-Fi (included throughout the hotel), a mini-market, the main bar "Moon Shell" with a large outdoor terrace, and the air-conditioned main restaurant "Bay Scallop" with a non-smoking area. The well-maintained garden features a swimming pool with a sun terrace and the pool bar "Tulip Shell". Additionally, the hotel has a beach bar "Sea Star Beach Bar" with a partially covered seating terrace and the beach restaurant "Sea Star Beach Restaurant". Beach towels, sun loungers, and umbrellas are included by the pool and on the beach; gazebos can also be rented on the beach.

Superior Double Room

The Superior Double Rooms are located in the main building or in the annexes and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, beach towels and beach bag (1 per room), individually controlled air conditioning, safe, 43'' satellite TV with music channel, Wi-Fi, coffee/tea station, mini-fridge (bottle of water, bottle of wine upon arrival), minibar (for a fee), and a balcony or terrace (DSU).
Available as single occupancy (DSE) or with a side sea view for an additional charge (D2S/2I/AQ2).

Superior Double Room Sea View

With the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, these rooms offer a direct sea view, are slightly more spacious, and are located in the main building (DMU).

Superior Double Room Seafront

These rooms have the same amenities as the Superior Double Room Sea View rooms and are located in the annex building directly on the beach (RF2).

Superior Double Room Private Pool

In addition to the amenities of the Superior Double Rooms, these rooms feature a Nespresso machine (2 capsules included upon arrival, additional capsules available at reception for a fee, complimentary with All Inclusive), direct access to a private pool, and are located on the ground floor in the annex buildings (U2P).
The private pool is not supervised. Please therefore pay particular attention to your children when using this area and act responsibly.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites are located in the main or annex buildings, feature a large combined living/sleeping area, and are more spacious with the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms (JS2).

In the main restaurant, continental early bird breakfast (6:30-7:30 AM), American breakfast buffet (7:30-10:30 AM), continental late riser breakfast (10:30-11 AM).
Dinner is served as a buffet in the main restaurant (6:30 PM-9:30 PM) or as a set menu in the beach restaurant (7 PM-9:30 PM, 5 times a week, reservation required).

Note on climate resilience contribution

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience contribution, which is to be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room from 01.01.2025.
