Location

The family-friendly Eliros Mare hotel is located directly on a 12 km long, gently sloping sandy beach, which has been awarded the "Blue Flag", in the Georgioupolis holiday area. There are a few tavernas and shops in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The picturesque town centre of Georgioupolis is approx. 4 km away. The nearest public bus stop can be reached after approx. 100 m. The beautiful freshwater Lake Kournas is approx. 5 km away, and Rethymnon is approx. 18 km away. Heraklion Airport is approx. 100 km away and Chania Airport is approx. 50 km away.

The modern Eliros Mare hotel consists of 143 rooms distributed between a main building and 6 small annexes. It offers a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a small seating area, a TV corner (satellite TV, several German channels), a mini-market, the main bar "Moon Shell" with a large outdoor terrace, and the air-conditioned main restaurant "Bay Scallop" with a non-smoking area. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel complex. In the well-maintained garden area, there is a swimming pool with a sun terrace and the "Tulip Shell" pool bar. In addition, the hotel has a beach bar "Sea Star Beach Bar" with a partially covered seating terrace and the beach restaurant "Sea Star Beach Restaurant". Bath towels, sun loungers, and parasols are included at the pool and on the beach; gazebos on the beach can also be rented for a fee.

Superior Double Room Sea View

The more spacious Superior Double Rooms with sea view are located in the main building and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, bath towels and a beach bag (1x per room), individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, 43'' satellite TV with music channel, coffee/tea station, mini-fridge (bottle of water and bottle of wine upon arrival), minibar (for a fee), as well as a balcony or terrace. Furthermore, these rooms have a direct sea view (DMU).

Superior Double Room Seafront

The more spacious Superior Double Rooms Seafront are located in the annex and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, bath towels and a beach bag (1x per room), individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, 43'' satellite TV with music channel, coffee/tea station, mini-fridge (bottle of water and bottle of wine upon arrival), minibar (for a fee), as well as a balcony or terrace. Furthermore, due to their direct location on the beach, they have a sea view (RF2).

Superior Double Room Private Pool

The Superior Double Rooms with private pool are located on the ground floor of the annexes and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, bath towels and a beach bag (1x per room), individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, 43'' satellite TV with music channel, coffee/tea station, mini-fridge (bottle of water and bottle of wine upon arrival), minibar (for a fee), and a Nespresso machine (2 capsules included upon arrival. Additional capsules are available at reception for a fee; free of charge with All Inclusive).
The special feature of these rooms is the direct access to the private pool from the terrace (U2P).
The private pool is not monitored by a lifeguard. We ask for prudent behaviour and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool access pose an increased risk for young children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Junior Suite

The spacious junior suites are designed as combined living/sleeping rooms and are located in the main building or the annexes. They are equipped with a shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, bath towels and a beach bag, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, 43'' satellite TV with music channel, coffee/tea station, and a mini-fridge (with a bottle of water and a bottle of wine upon arrival). They also feature a minibar (for a fee) as well as a balcony or terrace (JS2).

Sports for a fee

Water sports are offered in the high season via local providers on the beach. In addition, bicycle rentals and a padel court are available at the sister hotel Mythos Palace Resort, upon request and subject to availability.

The hotel features a separate children's pool.
A mini-disco takes place in the evening.
The mini-club welcomes children aged 4-12 years, 6x per week, from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

Destination information - Climate resilience fee

For stays from 1 January 2018, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on site, similar to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and, as of 1 January 2025, is staggered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per room per night.
For stays in the high season 1.4.-31.10.
