Location

The modern, multi-award-winning Agapi Beach Resort is located approx. 6 km outside of Heraklion, Crete's capital, on the unique coastal strip of Ammoudara and directly on the kilometers-long sandy beach, which has been awarded the "Blue Flag". The hotel is ideal for families who want to combine a beach holiday with the discovery of the nearby Minoan culture.
Heraklion Airport can be reached after approx. 15 km.
A bus stop is located directly in front of the resort.

The hotel has 320 rooms spread over two main buildings and several bungalow buildings. Furthermore, there is a reception, lift, a main restaurant, two à la carte restaurants (Italian and Greek cuisine; the Italian à la carte restaurant was completely renovated and enlarged for summer 2026), the "Taka Taka" street food restaurant, a Greek tavern for a dine-out experience, four bars, souvenir shop, jeweler, mini-market, as well as a spa with a hairdresser and other services. In the green, spacious outdoor area, there is a sun terrace with three pools. One of these is heated during the low season. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included at the pools and on the beach. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the entire hotel complex.

Double Room

The rooms, renovated in 2025-2026, are located in the main buildings and feature a bathroom with a walk-in shower, hairdryer, slippers, bath towels, safe, telephone, flatscreen smart TV, air conditioning (centrally controlled), mini-fridge, tea/coffee station, a bottle of mineral water upon arrival (1 bottle of water per room daily), two twin beds or one king-size bed, and a furnished balcony or veranda (D). Optionally available with sea view (DM, completely renovated in 2025) or for single use (DE/DEM) for an extra charge. Can also be booked for triple occupancy (DB).

Double Room Premium Sea View

These rooms have the same facilities as the double rooms but are located on the 3rd-5th floors in the main building with an unobstructed view of the sea and additional amenities such as shower/WC, coffee/tea maker, Nespresso machine (incl. daily refills), exclusive toiletries, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, safe, as well as a mini-fridge and a welcome gift (2PM/DXP/PMI). Also available for single occupancy (1PM). The rooms were renovated for summer 2024.

Bungalow Garden View

With the same facilities as the double rooms, the garden bungalows feature a walk-in shower, exclusive bathroom amenities, seating area, coffee/tea maker, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, and a furnished private balcony or veranda with a view of the garden landscape (B2A). Also available for single use (B1A).
Optionally available with side sea view (2BS/BIS) or for single use (BS1) for an extra charge.

Bungalow Seafront

With the same facilities as the Garden View Bungalows, these are located in the first row directly by the sea with a sea view (WF2/2AX). Also available for single use (WF1).

Exclusive Bungalow

In addition to the same facilities as the Garden View Bungalows, these feature a walk-in rain shower, coffee/tea-making facilities, a welcome gift, a higher-quality design, and are more spacious (2BE).
Optionally available located directly by the pool (E2X).

Family Room Connecting Door

The family rooms, which were renovated for summer 2026, are located in the second main building and feature a bathroom with walk-in shower, hairdryer, bath towels, safe, telephone, flatscreen smart TV, air conditioning (centrally controlled), mini-fridge, tea/coffee station, a bottle of mineral water upon arrival (1 bottle of water per room daily), two twin beds or one king-size bed, and a furnished balcony. The family rooms consist of two separate rooms with a connecting door and two separate bathrooms (DF2).

Family Bungalow

The family bungalows feature a bathroom with walk-in shower, exclusive toiletries, hairdryer, slippers, bathrobes, bath towels, safe, telephone, flatscreen smart TV, air conditioning (centrally controlled), mini-fridge, tea/coffee station, a bottle of mineral water upon arrival (1 bottle of water per room daily), two twin beds or one king-size bed, an additional sleeping option, a seating area, and a furnished terrace with a view of the garden landscape (FB2).

Maisonette 2 Bedroom

Consist of 2 Exclusive Bungalows in maisonette style with a common entrance area. Feature coffee/tea maker, bath/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe, slippers and luxurious bathroom articles, 2 bathrooms (one with shower, one with bathtub), a welcome gift, and beach towels (MN2).

Suite

The suites are located in the bungalow area, consist of a living/sleeping room and a separate bedroom, and feature a bathroom with walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, high-quality toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer, air conditioning, safe, telephone, two 32" flatscreen TVs, Wi-Fi (included), mini-fridge, Nespresso machine (incl. daily refills), a bottle of water upon arrival incl. daily refills, a welcome gift, and a balcony or terrace (S2). Optionally available with the same equipment as a family suite (2FS) or for single use (S1).
The suites and family suites were modernized for summer 2026.

Continental early riser breakfast 5-7 am (on request), varied buffet from 7-10:30 am, continental late riser breakfast from 10:30-11 am, lunch buffet including children's buffet from 12:30-2 pm, additional lunch buffet in the Greek tavern "Seaside" from 1-3:30 pm, street food menu from 12:30-5:30 pm at the "Taka-Taka" restaurant. Dinner from 6:45-9:30 pm, children's buffet, light snacks from 9:45-11 pm, two à la carte restaurants (included, with reservation the previous evening, 6:30-9:30 pm), "Taka-Taka" with crepes, waffles, and ice cream from 3:30-5:30 pm as well as hot and cold snacks, ice cream, and fruits at the pool bar from 11 am-5:30 pm. In addition, local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and ice cream are offered at the "Seaside Taverna" from 11 am-5:30 pm. Tea and coffee from 4-5:30 pm at the beach bar.
International and local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks such as cocktails, beer, soft drinks, coffee, and tea from 10 am-1 am at the respective open bars.
Gluten-free and vegetarian dishes are available upon request.
A local tavern outside the hotel is also included once per stay in the AI program (reservation required), 1-3 pm daily (except Sundays) and 7-9:30 pm daily (except Saturdays).
Packed lunches for excursions on request.
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner (smart chic, no swimwear in all restaurants).

Destination information: Climate Resilience Fee

For stays starting from 1.1.2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount is based on the type/category of accommodation and is staggered from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room as of 1.1.2025.
