Location

The modern, multi-award-winning Agapi Beach Resort is located approx. 6 km outside Heraklion, Crete's capital, on the unique coastline of Ammoudara and directly on the kilometer-long sandy beach, which has been awarded the Blue Flag. The hotel is ideal for families who want to combine a beach holiday with the discovery of the nearby Minoan culture.

Facilities

The hotel has 320 rooms spread across two main buildings and several bungalow buildings. It also offers a reception, Wi-Fi (included throughout the hotel complex), elevator, a main restaurant, two à la carte restaurants (Italian and Greek cuisine, the Italian à la carte restaurant will be completely renovated and enlarged by Summer 2026), the "Taka Taka" street food restaurant, a Greek taverna for a dine-out experience, 4 bars, a souvenir shop, a jeweler, a mini-market, and a spa with a hairdresser and other services. The green, spacious outdoor area features a sun terrace and 3 pools (one of which is heated during the low season). Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pools and on the beach.

Double Room

The rooms, renovated in 2025-2026, are located in the main buildings and feature a bathroom with a walk-in shower, hairdryer, slippers, beach towels, safe (included), Wi-Fi (included), telephone, flat-screen Smart TV, air conditioning (centrally controlled), mini-fridge, tea/coffee station, a bottle of mineral water upon arrival (1 bottle of water per room daily), two twin beds or a king-size bed, and a furnished balcony (D). Optionally available at an extra charge with sea view (DM, completely renovated in 2025) or for single occupancy (DE/DEM). Optionally also bookable for triple occupancy (DB).

Double Room Premium Sea View

These rooms have the same amenities as the Double Rooms but are located on the 3rd-5th floor of the main building with an unobstructed sea view and additional amenities such as a shower/WC, coffee/tea maker, Nespresso machine (with daily refill), exclusive toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, safe, and a mini-fridge (2PM/DXP/PMI). Also available for single occupancy (1PM). The rooms were renovated for Summer 2024.

Bungalow Garden View

The Garden Bungalows, with the same amenities as the Double Rooms, feature a walk-in shower, exclusive bath products, a seating area, bathrobes, slippers, and a furnished private balcony or veranda overlooking the garden landscape (B2A). Also available for single occupancy (B1A).
Optionally available at an extra charge with a side sea view (2BS/BIS) or for single occupancy (BS1).

Bungalow Seafront

With the same amenities as the Garden Bungalows, these are located in the first row directly on the sea with a sea view (WF2). Also available for single occupancy (WF1).

Exclusive Bungalow

With the same amenities as the Garden Bungalows, these also feature a walk-in rain shower, tea/coffee making facilities, a higher-quality design, and are more spacious (2BE).
Optionally available directly by the pool (E2X).

Family Room Connecting Door

The family rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms with a shower/WC (without slippers) and consist of two separate rooms with a connecting door and two separate bathrooms, are more spacious and are located in the 2nd main building (DF2). These rooms will be renovated by Summer 2026.

Family Bungalow

With the same amenities as the Garden Bungalows, they feature a furnished terrace with a garden view, additional sleeping options, and are slightly larger (FB2).

Maisonette (2 bedrooms)

Consist of 2 exclusive maisonette-style bungalows with a shared entrance area. They feature a coffee/tea maker, bath/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe, slippers, and luxurious bath amenities, 2 bathrooms (one with shower, one with bathtub), and beach towels (MN2).

Suite

The suites are located in the bungalow area, consisting of a living/sleeping room and a separate bedroom, and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, high-quality toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, safe (included), telephone, two 32" flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi (included), mini-fridge, Nespresso machine (incl. daily refill), bottle of water upon arrival incl. daily refill, and a balcony or terrace (S2). Optionally available with the same amenities as a Family Suite (2FS) or for single occupancy (S1).
The suites and family suites will be modernized by Summer 2026.

All Inclusive

All meals served buffet-style. 2 à la carte restaurants and the "Taka-Taka Street Food" restaurant are included. Once per stay, guests can also use the hotel's dine-out concept and have dinner at the adjacent Greek taverna.
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner (Casual chic, no swimwear in all restaurants).

Continental early bird breakfast from 5-7 am (on request), varied buffet from 7-10:30 am, continental late riser breakfast from 10:30-11 am, lunch buffet including children's buffet from 12:30-2 pm, additionally a lunch buffet at the Greek taverna "Seaside" from 1-3:30 pm, street food menu from 12:30-5:30 pm at the "Taka-Taka" restaurant. Dinner from 6:45-9:30 pm, children's buffet, light snacks from 9:45-11 pm, 2 à la carte restaurants (included, with reservation the evening before, 6:30-9:30 pm), "Taka-Taka" with crêpes, waffles, and ice cream from 3:30-5:30 pm, as well as hot and cold snacks, ice cream, and fruit at the pool bar from 11 am-5:30 pm. Additionally, local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and ice cream are offered at the "Seaside Taverna" from 11 am-5:30 pm. Tea and coffee from 4-5:30 pm at the beach bar.
Gluten-free meals are also available. Please contact the reception on-site.
International and local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks such as cocktails, beer, soft drinks, coffee, and tea from 10 am-1 am at the respective open bars.
A local taverna outside the hotel is also included once per stay in the AI program (reservation required), daily from 1-3 pm (except Sundays) and daily from 7-9:30 pm (except Saturdays).
Packed lunches for excursions available on request.

Sports Included

Water gymnastics, beach volleyball, fitness club, gymnastics, water aerobics, table tennis, yoga, boccia, water polo, and tennis (balls and rackets included). Stand-up paddleboarding or canoeing (30 minutes per person per day included).

Note on Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from 01/01/2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, comparable to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from 01/01/2025, ranges from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room.
