This family-run resort, now in its third generation, combines the traditional landscape of Chalkidiki with its olive groves and the breathtaking view of the turquoise sea of the Toronean Gulf. Guests can explore the endless beaches of Kassandra and Sithonia and discover their crystal-clear waters. The village of Gerakini with shops, bars, and restaurants is located just 1 km from the resort. A bus stop is approximately 300m away, while Thessaloniki Airport is about 65 km away.

This holiday resort, very popular with regular guests and families, can be booked on the German market as a Schauinsland-Reisen Original. Through continuous renovations in recent years, the established hotel has become a modern complex with chic rooms and many amenities, without losing its typical Greek charm and familiar friendly service. The hotel consists of several buildings with a total of 140 rooms spread throughout the well-maintained garden area. It features a lobby area with a reception, a bar/à-la-carte gourmet "Panorama" bistro with an outdoor terrace and magnificent views, a satellite TV corner, Wi-Fi (included), the "Mediterranean" main restaurant, and the "Agora" boutique/mini-market. The swimming pool, a separate children's pool with a sun terrace, and the "Aegean" pool bar are located in the outdoor area, also overlooking the sea. Directly on the beach, the "Aura" lounge bar provides refreshments. Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach. For AI guests, loungers and umbrellas at the beach (one set consisting of two loungers and one umbrella per room) are included. A set of pool towels is provided free of charge (free exchange every three days).
Since summer 2025, the newly redesigned beach area has been available for even more relaxation and restful hours. The "Aura Beach Lounge" directly on the beach awaits guests with two comfortable seating areas with shaded spots, including poufs, numerous plants, and atmospheric lighting. In addition, various garden areas offer spaces for relaxation such as yoga and Pilates, as well as the opportunity to watch movies and sports events under the open sky. Rounded off by renewed paths, showers, changing rooms, and comfortable sun loungers, this space right by the sea is the ideal place for well-being for all ages.

Deluxe Double Room Sea View (Summer 2026)

With the same amenities as the Superior Double Room Sea View, the Deluxe Double Rooms are more modern in design and feature a semi-open bathroom. All guests receive the following additional services: daily filled minibar (1 bottle of water, 2 soft drinks, 2 fruit juices, 2 beers), high-speed internet access, and an espresso machine incl. 2 capsules per day. Luggage storage is available (DDM).

Deluxe Double Room Sea View Renovated

Freshly renovated for Summer 2026, the Deluxe Double Rooms Sea View feature a new design and provide the same amenities as the Deluxe Double Room Sea View, plus toiletries in the bathroom, cosmetic mirror, a 43" Smart TV, and free Wi-Fi. All guests receive the following additional services: daily filled minibar (1 bottle of water, 2 soft drinks, 2 fruit juices, 2 beers). Luggage storage is available, and guests in this room type receive a beach bag with the Sonia Hotel logo (2DQ).

The "Mediterranean" main restaurant opens its doors for main meals. From 6:30-10:30 a.m., a varied breakfast buffet awaits you with show cooking, including filter coffee, cappuccino, espresso, cocoa (hot), tea, juices, and water. From 1:00-2:30 p.m., a lunch buffet with rotating dishes is available. Dinner from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. also features a buffet with three theme nights per week and a show-cooking station. Soft drinks, wine, beer, tea, coffee specialties, juices, brandy, ouzo, and water are included with meals. For children, there is a separate mini-buffet at lunch and dinner with chips, nuggets, and pasta dishes.
Soft ice cream and snacks as well as pastries (sweet and savory) are offered in the à-la-carte Panorama Restaurant and at the "Aegean" pool bar from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. In a weekly selection, our guests receive, among other things, mini club sandwiches, tortillas, baguette sandwiches, crackers, and traditional Greek pastries. Desserts and fresh fruit are also served daily.
At the pool bar, soft drinks, coffee specialties, cocoa, tea, iced tea, water, draft beer, wine, ouzo, brandy, and cocktails (Screwdriver, Tequila Sunrise, Pina Colada, Cuba Libre, Aperol Spritz, Wine Spritz) as well as long drinks with gin, vodka, rum, tequila, brandy, bitters, or whiskey are available from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
In the à-la-carte Panorama Restaurant, further beverages such as beer, premium aperitifs, and liqueurs, as well as other branded spirits and cocktails (Mojito, Screwdriver, Tequila Sunrise, Pina Colada, Cuba Libre, Aperol Spritz, Wine Spritz, Ouzo Cocktails) and long drinks with gin, vodka, rum, tequila, brandy, bitters, or whiskey are also included from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
At the "Aura" beach bar, instant coffee, frappe, beer, soft drinks, iced tea, juices, and cocktails (Pina Colada, Screwdriver, Tequila Sunrise, Pink Mastiha, Cuba Libre) are available from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Entertainment

The entertainment team offers various sports and entertainment options for adults and children 6 days a week (except Monday). In the morning, various activities such as sports, yoga, water games, etc., are offered, and in the evening, performances, competitions, pool parties, shows, and theme nights for every taste. During the Greek evening, guests get a good insight into Greek culture through a series of traditional activities such as folk dancing. Destination information: Climate Resilience Tax

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax, which is to be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is scaled from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room from January 1, 2025.
