The lovingly managed resort is located slightly above the sand/pebble beach, which can be reached via a few steps. The green surroundings and the fantastic view of the turquoise blue sea put you in a holiday mood immediately. The small town of Gerakini with shops, bars, and tavernas is about 1 km away. A bus stop is approximately 300 m away, and Thessaloniki Airport is reached after approx. 65 km.

The holiday resort, very popular with regular guests and families, can be booked on the German market as a Schauinsland-Reisen Original. Thanks to continuous renovations in recent years, the established hotel has become a modern property with stylish rooms and many amenities, without losing its typical Greek charm and familiar friendly service. The hotel consists of several buildings with a total of 140 rooms, which are distributed throughout the well-kept garden area, and features a lobby with reception, a bar/à-la-carte gourmet bistro "Panorama", an outdoor terrace with a magnificent view, a satellite TV corner, Wi-Fi (included), the main restaurant "Mediterranean", and the boutique/mini-market "Agora". Also overlooking the sea in the outdoor area are the swimming pool, a separate children's pool with a sun terrace, and the "Aegean" pool bar. Directly on the beach, the "Aura" lounge bar provides refreshments. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach. For AI guests, loungers and umbrellas at the beach (one set, consisting of two loungers and one umbrella per room) are included. A set of bath towels is provided free of charge (free exchange every three days).
Since summer 2025, the newly designed beach area is available for even more relaxation and laid-back hours. The "Aura Beach Lounge" directly on the beach awaits guests with two comfortable seating areas with shaded spots, including poufs, many plants, and atmospheric lighting. Additionally, various garden areas offer spaces for relaxation such as yoga and pilates, but also the possibility to watch films and sports events under the open sky. Rounded off by renewed paths, showers, changing rooms, and comfortable sun loungers, the space right by the sea is the ideal feel-good place for young and old.

With the same amenities as the Superior Double Room Sea View, the Deluxe Double Rooms are more modernly furnished and feature a semi-open bathroom. All guests additionally receive the following services: daily stocked minibar (1 bottle of water, 2 soft drinks, 2 fruit juices, 2 beers), high-speed internet access, and espresso machine incl. 2 capsules per day. A luggage rack is available (DDM).

Renovated Deluxe Double Room Sea View

Freshly renovated for summer 2026, the Deluxe Double Rooms Sea View in a new design feature, in addition to the same amenities as the Deluxe Double Room Sea View, bathroom amenities, vanity mirror, a 43" Smart TV, and free Wi-Fi. All guests additionally receive the following services: daily stocked minibar (1 bottle of water, 2 soft drinks, 2 fruit juices, 2 beers). A luggage rack is available, and guests in this room category receive a beach bag with the Sonia Hotel logo (2DQ).

The "Mediterranean" main restaurant opens its doors for main meals. From 6:30 to 10:30, a varied breakfast buffet with show cooking awaits you, including filter coffee, cappuccino, espresso, cocoa (hot), tea, juices, and water. From 13:00 to 14:30, a lunch buffet with changing dishes is available. For dinner from 18:00 to 21:30, there is also a buffet with three theme nights per week and a show-cooking station. With meals, soft drinks, wine, beer, tea, coffee specialties, juices, brandy, ouzo, and water are included. For children, there is a separate mini-buffet with fries, nuggets, and pasta dishes at lunch and dinner.
In the à-la-carte Panorama restaurant and at the "Aegean" pool bar, soft ice cream and snacks as well as pastries (sweet and savory) are offered from 11:00 to 18:00. In a weekly selection, our guests receive, among other things, mini club sandwiches, tortillas, baguette sandwiches, crackers, and traditional Greek pastries. Daily, additional desserts and fresh fruit are served.
At the pool bar, soft drinks, coffee specialties, cocoa, tea, iced tea, water, draft beer, wine, ouzo, brandy, and cocktails (Screwdriver, Tequila Sunrise, Pina Colada, Cuba Libre, Aperol Spritz, Wine Spritz) as well as long drinks with gin, vodka, rum, tequila, brandy, bitters, or whiskey are available from 10:00 to 22:30.
In the à-la-carte Panorama restaurant, additional drinks such as beer, premium aperitifs, and liqueurs as well as other branded spirits and cocktails (Mojito, Screwdriver, Tequila Sunrise, Pina Colada, Cuba Libre, Aperol Spritz, Wine Spritz, Ouzo cocktails) and long drinks with gin, vodka, rum, tequila, brandy, bitters, or whiskey are also included from 10:30 to 23:30.
At the "Aura" beach bar, instant coffee, frappe, beer, soft drinks, iced tea, juices, and cocktails (Pina Colada, Screwdriver, Tequila Sunrise, Pink Mastiha, Cuba Libre) are available from 9:00 to 22:30.
Gluten-free options are offered in the restaurants.
Appropriate attire is requested in the restaurants (smart casual).
When booking All Inclusive, two loungers and one umbrella are included per room at a specific section of the beach.

Entertainment

The animation team offers different sports and entertainment options for adults and children 6 times per week. In the morning, various activities such as sports, yoga, water games, etc. are offered, and in the evening, performances, competitions, pool parties, shows, and theme nights for every taste. During the Greek evening, guests get a good insight into Greek culture through a series of traditional activities such as folk dancing. There is also a live music evening with Greek and international songs.
