The boutique hotel is located on the east coast of Sri Lanka, directly on the beautiful, long, and wide sandy beach in the quiet bay of Passikudah.
The transfer time from Colombo International Airport is approx. 6-7 hours.
Transfer via domestic flight (approx. 45 minutes) followed by approx. 30 minutes by bus is optionally available at an extra charge.

The exclusive Uga Bay welcomes its guests to a luxurious beach setting and features 48 spacious rooms and suites, which are harmoniously distributed among several two-story buildings in the expansive garden area – always facing the sea for a particularly relaxed holiday feeling.
In the heart of the complex is the elegant 24-hour reception with comfortable seating areas, which provides a stylish ambiance right upon arrival. For enjoyable moments, the lounge bar and the beach bar invite you to linger with their breathtaking views over the beach and the ocean. The main restaurant serves both traditional Sri Lankan specialties and high-quality international dishes.
A highlight is the impressive infinity pool with a separate children's pool, which is gently embedded in the well-maintained garden landscape and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the sea. Sun loungers and bath towels are available free of charge at the pool – perfect for relaxing hours under the sun.

Accommodation

Ocean Studio

The spacious rooms are elegantly and comfortably furnished and are located on the upper floors. They feature a large bathroom with a rain shower/WC, bathrobes, hairdryer, air conditioning, 42" LED TV, iPod docking station, DVD player, telephone, minibar (for a fee), safe, coffee/tea maker, and a balcony with sea view.

Beach Studio

With the same amenities as the Ocean Studios, these rooms are located on the ground floor and feature a terrace with a garden view.

Pool Suite

The luxurious suites feature 2 bedrooms with a private balcony, 2 bathrooms, a living room, as well as bathrobes, hairdryer, air conditioning, 42" LED TV, iPod docking station, DVD player, telephone, minibar (for a fee), safe, and coffee/tea maker. On the terrace with a sea view, there is a spacious pool where you can relax perfectly.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children.
Therefore, for bookings of these room types, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children for safety reasons.

The beaches are generally public natural beaches. Depending on currents and weather conditions, the sand on the beach may be washed away.
