This boutique hotel is situated on the east coast of Sri Lanka, directly on the beautiful, long, and wide sandy beach in the quiet bay of Passikudah.
The transfer time from Colombo International Airport is approximately 6-7 hours.
A transfer via domestic flight (approx. 45 minutes) followed by approximately 30 minutes by bus can be booked optionally for an additional charge.

The exclusive Uga Bay welcomes its guests to a luxurious beach setting and features 48 spacious rooms and suites, which are harmoniously distributed across several two-story buildings in the expansive gardens – all facing the ocean for a particularly relaxing holiday feeling.
At the heart of the property is the elegant 24-hour reception with comfortable seating areas, providing a stylish ambiance from the moment you arrive. The lounge bar and beach bar provide enjoyable moments, inviting guests to linger with their breathtaking views over the beach and the ocean. The main restaurant serves both traditional Sri Lankan specialties and high-quality international dishes.
A highlight is the impressive infinity pool with a separate children's pool, which is gently embedded in the well-maintained garden landscape and offers magnificent panoramic views of the sea. Sun loungers and bath towels are available at the pool free of charge – perfect for relaxing hours under the Suns.

Ocean Studio

The spacious rooms are elegantly and comfortably furnished and are located on the upper floors. They feature a large bathroom with rain shower/WC, bathrobes, hairdryer, air conditioning, 42" LED TV, iPod docking station, DVD player, telephone, minibar (for a fee), safe, coffee/tea maker, and balcony with sea view.

Beach Studio

The rooms have the same facilities as the Ocean Studios, are located on the ground floor, and feature a terrace with garden view.

Pool Suite

The luxurious suites feature 2 bedrooms with private balconies, 2 bathrooms, a living room, as well as bathrobes, hairdryer, air conditioning, 42" LED TV, iPod docking station, DVD player, telephone, minibar (for a fee), safe, and coffee/tea maker. On the terrace with sea view, there is a spacious pool perfect for relaxing.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk for small children.
Therefore, for bookings of these room types, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children for safety reasons.
