Location

The resort is located on the island of Falhumaafushi in the Gaafu Alifu Atoll and is connected to the sister hotel, The Residence Dhigurah, by an approximately 1 km long private bridge. The transfer from the airport is by domestic flight (approx. 55 minutes) followed by a speedboat (approx. 7 minutes).

The Residence Falhumaafushi features a total of 97 luxuriously furnished villas. Amenities include an open-plan reception area with seating, as well as a boutique and a souvenir shop. Dining options include the international restaurant "The Dining Room" and the over-water restaurant "The Falhumaa". Refreshing drinks are offered at the "Beach Bar" and "Library Bar," among others. Thanks to the connection with the sister hotel The Residence Dhigurah, guests have access to additional dining options as part of the dine-around concept. The infinity pool, with views of the Indian Ocean, is located directly on the beach. The house reef offers excellent opportunities to explore the underwater world of the Gaafu Alifu Atoll. Sun loungers and parasols are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach.

Beach Villa

The Beach Villas are approx. 85 m² and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, bathrobes/slippers, hairdryer, air conditioning, safe, LED TV, DVD player, telephone, minibar, tea/coffee making facilities, and a furnished terrace. (2BV) Also available as a Beach Pool Villa with a private pool for an additional charge. (VPZ) Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types.

Water Villa

With the same amenities as the Beach Villa, the Water Villa is smaller (approx. 84 m²), built on stilts over the water, and has direct access to the sea (W2V). Also available as a Water Villa with Pool for an additional charge (W2V).

Deluxe Water Villa

The approx. 182 m² villas, built over the lagoon, feature a bedroom with a king-size bed, a separate and spacious living room, bathroom with bathtub and shower, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, safe, and a furnished veranda with seating and loungers. The private sun terrace includes a private pool (approx. 2.5 x 6 m) and direct access to the lagoon. (WVP)

Meals

Full Board

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as part of a "dine around" concept. Lunch can be enjoyed at the main restaurant "The Dining Room" (buffet or set menu), at the "Beach Bar," "Café del Sol," "Li Bai," or "Long Island" (each as a set menu). Dinner is served at "The Dining Room" (buffet or set menu) as well as at the "Li Bai," "Long Island," or "The Falhumaa" restaurants (each as a set menu). An additional charge may apply for selected dishes; reservations are sometimes required.

Breakfast with sparkling wine and an extensive international selection at "The Dining Room" restaurant. Lunch as part of the dine-around concept as a buffet or 3-course menu at "The Dining Room" or as a 3-course menu in selected restaurants. Dinner is also served as part of the dine-around concept as a buffet or 3-course menu in selected restaurants. At the à-la-carte restaurant "The Falhumaa," guests receive a credit of USD 50 net per adult and USD 25 net per child. Reservations may be required and selected dishes are subject to an additional charge. Draft beer, house wine by the glass, selected spirits and cocktails, juices, tea, coffee, water, and ice cream during meals are included, as well as selected drinks from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the "Beach Club" on Dhigurah and the "Beach Bar" on Falhumaafushi. Daily refilling of the minibar with beer, juices, soft drinks, and snacks. Additionally, one house reef orientation is included per stay.

Sports included

Fitness center, sunrise and sunset yoga, snorkeling equipment, 1 hour of kayaking or stand-up paddling per day, and bicycle rental.

The "Turtle Kids Club" at the sister hotel The Residence Dhigurah offers a variety of activities for children aged 3-12. Additionally, an interactive teen program for youths aged 12-17 is available. Babysitting service upon request and for a fee.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. With an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, it may be that only 1 or 2 large beds are available in total. Consequently, it may occur that for 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, a child must sleep in the parents' bed! An extra bed cannot be guaranteed in advance and is subject to availability on-site.
