Safaris always start on Mondays.
Day 1 "Mombasa-Tsavo West National Park": Early morning pick-up from the hotel (South Coast around 5:30 AM, North Coast 6:30 AM) and transfer to the Mombasa train terminal for a train journey (1st class) to Mtito Andei (departure 8 AM, arrival 11:18 AM). After arrival, pick-up and transfer with the Severin Camp vehicle to Tsavo West National Park, where you will enjoy your first lunch at your accommodation, the "Severin Safari Camp". In the afternoon, the first game drive through Tsavo West National Park begins with a 6-seater vehicle and an English-speaking driver/guide. The vast and diverse habitats offer an ideal area for searching for lion prides, buffalo, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and wildebeest. Enjoy a sundowner at "Mzima Springs", an underground water source that seeps from the "Chyulu Hills", is a good spot for observing hippos. There is also a wide variety of bird species. Dinner will also take place at your booked accommodation (Severin Safari Camp).
Day 2 "Tsavo West National Park": Spend the entire day in Tsavo West National Park with a morning game drive and a 1.5-hour guided nature walk. All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and overnight stays will continue to be at the "Severin Safari Camp".
Day 3 "Tsavo West National Park-Mombasa": The day begins with an early breakfast, followed by a transfer to the Mtito Andei train station for the return journey by train (1st class) to Mombasa (departure 10:54 AM, arrival 2 PM). Upon arrival in Mombasa, you will be transferred to your booked hotel.
Minimum participants: 2 people.
Safaris can start no earlier than the 2nd day of your stay. Latest return to the booked beach hotel is 2 days before departure. Program sequence subject to change.

After booking completion, we require passport copies of all travelers. These are needed to book the train journey (res.afrika@schauinsland-reisen.de)

Day 2: After a morning safari along the Tsavo River springs – the lifeline for hippos and crocodiles, breakfast awaits you at the camp. Afterwards, you will have time to relax at the KENBALI Spa. For lunch, choose from our à la carte menu in the restaurant, enjoying the fantastic view over the vast savanna. In the late afternoon, you will be taken to the highlight of the day. At Poacher's Lookout, enjoy the beautiful sunset with a glass of sparkling wine and canapés. From here, you have a magnificent view over the El Turesh bushland. On the way back to the camp, experience the African savanna at night – an unforgettable adventure. When our driver switches off the engine, you can enjoy the silence amidst the wilderness under the starry sky. After an exciting day in the African bush, a culinary dinner awaits you at our camp.
