Location

The expansive resort is located directly on the hotel's own sand/pebble beach (bathing shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam Airport.
The shallow, sloping beach offers the opportunity for a relaxing beach holiday. Additionally, the long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can explore the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. The comfortably and charmingly furnished complex features a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - Oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - international cuisine), an à-la-carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, various bars, and a café, The Bakery.
In the spacious outdoor area, there are 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two of which are heated in winter). The newly built aqua park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heated in winter) offers fun for all ages.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, pads, and towels are available free of charge at the pool and on the beach.
Guests of the "Pickalbatros Portofino Villaggio" can use all the facilities of the sister hotel "Pickalbatros Portofino Vita" (RMF116).

The modern rooms with garden view are spacious (D, approx. 35 m²) and equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water only included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a balcony or terrace.

Beachfront sea view

The beach-front sea view rooms (BF2, approx. 42-45 m²) are large and the rooms feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a terrace or balcony. The beachfront sea view rooms are located directly on the beach with a view of the sea.
Also bookable for single occupancy (BF1).

Double room Superior

The modern double superior rooms (DSU, approx. 42-45 m²) are equipped with a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a balcony or terrace.
Available with pool view (DSP) or sea view (DMU) for an additional charge.

Family room Deluxe garden view

The modern rooms (2FS, approx. 70 m²) consist of a bedroom with a king-size bed, a bedroom with single beds, and a sofa bed, and are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a balcony or terrace.
Available with pool view (XF2) for an additional charge.
(Additionally bookable under RMFA49 as family room type A (2FA) with garden view).

Royal Suite Swim Up pool view

The Royal Suite (SWP) is approx. 105 m² and features bath/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (water included), safe, kettle, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a terrace with direct access to the shared swim-up pool. The rooms have two bedrooms.
(Additional inventory bookable under RMFA49 as Royal Suite type B (RZ3)).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety hazard for small children.
Therefore, for security reasons, schauinsland-reisen has a minimum age requirement of 6 years for children booking these room types.

Double room Deluxe (RMFA49)

The double rooms Deluxe correspond in size and equipment to the double rooms (DD2). Also bookable with pool view (DBP) and with sea view (DDM).

Bungalow Deluxe sea view (RMFA49)

The Bungalow Deluxe have a size of approx. 35m² and are equipped with air conditioning, bathroom with shower or bathtub/WC, flat-screen TV, balcony or terrace, and have a sea view (2BM).

Superior Bungalow sea view (RMFA49)

The superior bungalows are similar in equipment to the bungalow deluxe, but are larger at approx. 45m² (2UB).
