Location

The JAZ Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is situated on a beautiful, gently sloping beach in the first beach row of the popular Marsa Mares bay. The bay is particularly well-known for its turtle population and features a house reef that invites guests to snorkel and dive. Your holiday destination is located approximately 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam Airport. Various shopping opportunities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (approximately 5 kilometers away).

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites distributed throughout the entire property. These include various Superior and Deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, elegant design and has been designed to be very spacious. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort as well as the bay and features a reception desk with various seating areas as well as a lobby bar. The outdoor area features a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. There are seven different pools awaiting you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, as well as a Jacuzzi (partially heated in winter). Sun loungers and parasols are available to guests free of charge in the pool area as well as on the private beach section; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. Furthermore, the facility has a spacious fitness center on the first floor with a panoramic view of the bay and the pool landscape. Directly adjacent is the hotel's own Mivida Spa (for a fee). A main restaurant, two à-la-carte restaurants, as well as various bars are at your disposal.

Superior Double Room

The comfortably furnished Superior Double Rooms (DSU, approx. 51m²) feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, as well as a minibar. The rooms are each equipped with a king-size bed or two single beds. There is also a tea and coffee station in the room. The rooms have a terrace or a balcony. Superior Premium Double Room

With otherwise the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, these are somewhat more spacious and have a pool view (PR2). Also bookable for single occupancy (PR1).

Superior Double Room with Guaranteed Sea View Top Floor

The newly bookable Schauinsland-Reisen-Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior Double Rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.
Also bookable for single occupancy (MSE).

Superior Swim-up Double Room Value Room

The Superior Swim-up Double Rooms (DWP) have the same features as the Superior Double Rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also have the following amenities exclusive to Schauinsland-Reisen:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP treatment upon arrival: Coffee/tea maker in the room, additionally 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.
- The use of the à-la-carte restaurants is included one additional time (Teppanyaki restaurant is excluded; in all other rooms, the à-la-carte restaurants are only included once).

Deluxe Double Room

The Deluxe Double Rooms (DD2) are larger (approx. 56m²) with the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms and are suitable for families due to the layout (one king-size bed and two sofa beds in the front area). Optionally also bookable with partial sea view (DDS), sea view (DM2), or as swim-up (DWU).

Executive Suite

The Executive Suites (2SU) are spacious (approx. 150m²) and feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, a minibar, and a coffee/tea maker. The Executive Suites also feature a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.
The rooms are located on the first floor.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) are 153m² in size and feature the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, plus a king-size bed and a dining set. The rooms also have a lush terrace with access to the private pool (heatable in winter) and direct sea view.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07:00-10:00), lunch (12:30-14:30), and dinner (19:00-22:00) in buffet form. In addition, a late breakfast is available there from 10:30-12:00. Guests also have two à-la-carte restaurants at their disposal (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but thereafter for a fee: "Tao Tao" restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The à-la-carte restaurant "Bay View" offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine. Tea time is offered from 12:30 to 17:00. Various bars offer refreshments as well as snacks throughout the day, such as "La Vista Pool Snack Bar" (snacks as well as local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks), "Splash Pool Bar", "Fantasia Lobby Bar", and "Bay View Beach Bar" (snacks as well as local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks).
Appropriate clothing is requested for dinner.
Gentlemen must wear long trousers and appropriate footwear; no tank tops/sleeveless shirts or shorts of any length.
For ladies, shorts are acceptable at dinner, but hot pants and very short shorts are not.
