Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to the cruise is mandatory. The next possible embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

The itinerary may shift depending on the embarkation day.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, optional balloon trip (can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Sightseeing on the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continued sailing from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where you will stay overnight.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.
Day 5:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
Opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Travel to Kom Ombo with a visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Continue to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
Day 8:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your physical well-being. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and are equipped with a bathroom with bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

Cabin single occupancy

With the same facilities as the standard cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select

Location

Clear sea with beach and hotel buildings on the horizon under blue sky.
The newly built SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select, which first opened in April 2024, impresses with its modern bohemian style. The resort is located directly on the beautiful, hotel-owned lagoon sandy beach, offering perfect conditions for snorkelers and divers. The jetty makes it easier to enter the deeper water. The Marsa Alam airport is about 90 kilometers away from the hotel.

Facilities

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel was built in an elegant bohemian style and has 203 rooms and suites, which are distributed across various buildings. The complex features a reception area with seating and an adjoining outdoor terrace. In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five different pools, including a splash pool, an infinity whirlpool, an adult-only pool (Oasis Pool), as well as an island and kids pool (all pools are heatable in winter). Restaurants include the Boscage Restaurant (international cuisine, open buffet), the à-la-carte restaurant "Manzoku" (Asian cuisine), and the "Basilico," which operates as an international à-la-carte restaurant until the evening and as an Italian à-la-carte restaurant in the evening. All à-la-carte restaurants are included and can be visited daily with a reservation. Snacks are available to guests at the "Indigo Terrace" bar. A total of seven different bars, one of which is adults-only, offer a selection of drinks. Additionally, the holiday resort has a spa area, a gym, a beauty salon, a kids club, and various shops.

The modernly furnished rooms (DSU, approx. 40 m²) are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, seating area, and balcony.

Family room with bunk bed

The rooms (2FS) have the same facilities as the superior double rooms, but are larger (approx. 50 m²) and consist of two bedrooms separated by a door (one with a queen-size bed and one with two single beds) and a bathroom with a shower and a terrace.

Junior suite

With the same facilities as the superior double rooms, but more spacious (JS2, approx. 55 m²) and with a living area.

Executive suite

The executive suites have similar features to the superior double rooms but are larger (ES2, approx. 70 m²). The rooms feature a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a dressing room, a bathroom with a separate shower, a seating area, and a terrace.

Deluxe beach front

The rooms (S2U) are approx. 45 m² in size and, with similar features to the double rooms, include a terrace. The rooms are located in the immediate vicinity of the beach and feature a bedroom with a queen-size bed as well as a living area.

Anjum Jacuzzi suite sea view

The Anjum Jacuzzi suite (S2J) is approx. 80 m² in size and consists of a bedroom with a queen-size bed as well as a living area. Otherwise having similar features, the rooms additionally have a balcony with a Jacuzzi and a view of the sea.

The main restaurant "Boscage" offers you breakfast, including coffee and tea, as well as various freshly squeezed juices (7 AM – 10:30 AM), lunch (1 PM – 3 PM), and dinner (7 PM – 10 PM) in buffet form. As required, the following à-la-carte restaurants are also included for you without restriction (depending on availability and with prior reservation): "Basilico" (12:30 PM – 5 PM international cuisine, 7 PM – 10 PM Italian cuisine) and "Manzoku," which is open from 6:30 PM to 10 PM and offers Asian cuisine. Coffee, tea, and cake are offered daily at the "Indigo Bar" from 3 PM to 5 PM. A midnight snack is available to guests from 11 PM to 1 AM in the Boscage Restaurant.
