Travel information

A combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers between components. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the inbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the outbound flight must depart from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and harbor are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).

7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterward, you have the option to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the option to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins distributed across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and includes a front desk. Indulge your palate in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served at the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small gym, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on the loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) feature the same amenities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no sitting area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites and possibly without a French balcony and without a sitting area, but with a non-opening window.

The True Beach Resort, which consists of the sub-areas "True Beach Resort" (bookable under RMF333, completely renovated) and the True Beach Village (bookable under RMF444, newly built), opened its doors for the first time in December 2023. The facility, designed in an Arabian boho style, is located south of Marsa Alam on a beautiful stretch of coast with a bay and crystal-clear water in the first beach row. Off-shore corals invite you to snorkel (bathing shoes recommended). Marsa Alam Airport is about 90 kilometers away from the hotel.

Facilities

The schauinsland-reisen Original Hotel was built in a classy Bohemian style, paired with modern Arabian accents, thus offering a unique design in Egypt. The 5-star facility consists of two sub-areas, the "True Beach Resort," which is particularly suitable for families, and the "True Beach Village" (bookable under RMF444) as an adult-only area, which can be booked from the age of 16. The facility has a total of 158 rooms, distributed across both sub-areas, and offers a spacious reception area with a front desk as well as a lobby bar "True Lobby Bar" with seating in the indoor and outdoor areas. The resort area has two spacious pools as well as a whirlpool, which is integrated into the main pool (one of which can be heated in winter). An island in the main pool, accessible via a wooden bridge, offers chill-out areas with loungers and beanbags for all ages. A children's pool as well as a children's splash pool with various water games is located next to the miniclub and the adjacent playground with a sun canopy. The main restaurant "El Manzil" offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in buffet style; in addition, the fish restaurant "Ritsa" located on the beach is included once per stay. The three à-la-carte restaurants "El Tawla" (oriental), "NORI" (Asian fusion), as well as "ILIOS" (Greek) are located in the village area and are for a fee (adult only, reservation required). Furthermore, the facility has a pool bar "Maya," a rooftop bar "Sama Bar" (shisha available, for a fee), a theater that offers various entertainment programs in the evening, a beach bar, as well as various shops and a hairdresser and spa area. The village area is surrounded by a spacious water landscape and offers a total of 4 different main pools that lead through the entire facility, as well as an infinity pool that offers a view of the crystal-clear bay (all pools can be heated). In the middle of the pool landscape, a pool bar "Scarab Bar" awaits you, as well as the oriental restaurant "El Tawla" and a chaise lounge. Two further bars "Salt Bar" as well as "ILIOS" bar directly on the beach are available in the village area. Guests of the village area may use both sub-areas, but not vice-versa. The friendly furnished Superior double rooms (DSU) feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, minibar (filled upon arrival with 4 soft drinks and 2 small bottles of water, water is refilled daily), kettle, and safe, sitting area, and terrace, and are approx. 47 m². Also bookable as Type I (DSI) with same amenities, limited quota, and special price. Optionally also bookable for single use (DEU). Upgrade Superior Double Room Sea View

The room (UMB) features the same amenities as the Superior Double Room Sea View and additionally offers the following amenities:
